jaime30024's Journal, 06 March 2013

Got the 12 hour alavert in me for the day and not feeling too bad. Took my B-12 vitamin this morning and already downed 2 glasses of water. Got the dehydrator going with some pepperoni slices and plan on going to the store today (meat market) and have them slice a roast so I can marinate it for jerky.

My weight is fluctuating around that pound again but that is okay as I have not exercised much and I am sure the cough drops that I have been eating are not helping. However, today is the beginning of March....haha...someone else journaled it and I am on the bandwagon.

I joined a Couch to 5k challenge that starts in 5 days. Although I am doing the Couch to 10k I think it will kind of fall in line so I am looking forward to that. Got a good FS buddy that emails me daily and we are keeping tabs on one another and that is helpful too.

DD has been running some and is halfway where she needs to be with her crossovers....needs to do 50 and she is at 25. So I think she should be ready in a month. Not sure I will be. I have moments where I start to cry (alone of course when no one is home) and then I contain myself and move on. I am really happy for her and excited but I will miss my doodle bug and I try not to think much on that.

Ordered a two pack of Coconut Oil from Group on and it has shipped...it needs to get here...I am OUT!!!!

We are going to dinner and the theatre on Friday...I need to find something to wear...out of my new wardrobe of clothes that I have finally gotten back into..hahaha

I hope everyone has a great day today and remember stay the course.

You sound as if you're feeling better, YAY!! You know, it's funny, whenever I run out of coconut oil I do the same 'hurry!' as if my life depended on it, LOL. I get mine from Amazon & they do one day shipping (if you ever find yourself out unexpectedly) - what brand do you use? Sometimes I regret that I got rid of all but 5 blouses and 2 pair of jeans when I started this but I remember I did give some of the better stuff over to my SD to hold in reserve - anoter month or so I may go shopping over there for renewed wardrobe :-) Have fun at the theater - what are you going to see?

Glad to hear you're starting to feel better! You'll be on your way to that 5K in no time! I've found exercise to be a great stress reducer & distraction in the sad times -- I really got into working out when I first was an empty nester. Who knows what will come next for you... 10K, 15K?

Bella I have used LouAna on the Coconut Oil; not sure what brand this is coming in from Group on. We are going to see In The Mood (it is 40's big band era). You will be shopping for your renewed wardrobe before we know it! Ruth - You are right exercise is a great stress reducer and I am sure it will help me tremendously in the weeks to come. We are doing a 12K in May, but I it will be walking a lot and some jogging...lol.

Nice to hear that you are feeling better :) I know you said that the empty nest is going to happen for you and I'm here for ya. I am at the point that I am trying to learn that I can put myself first and not feel guilty. You spend your life always putting yourself last and your kids first that for me, it's hard to adjust to that. On the happy side, sounds like things are really coming together for you and that is so great :)
