Densible's Journal, 24 June 2008

I weighed myself this morning and was shocked and scared (weird, right?) that I was 149lbs. Saturday I weighed 152, which is over a 1 lb gain from week before and my first gain in months (sad). It could be a fluctuation and I will wait until official weigh in on Saturday to see if it is real. I am fantasizing about it being real as it will be a milestone in this journey. The 140's!!!!!

I have been eating more cals than I thought wise (for me) and not exercising as intensely (more walking, less running and weight training).

The results that are most satisfying right now are 1. Staying focused for an extended period of time and not feeling too crazy! and 2. Wearing articles of clothing I have not worn in years! A pair of shorts that actually are a bit baggy now and used to give camel toes (don't worry I never wore them out). A satin shirt that I loved from afar as it hung in my closet for 3 yrs. I took it out to a party last week and we both had a great time!!

The ice cream shop down the road has peach ice cream finally (it is my absolute fav and if you like it too you know how rare it is to find good stuff, theirs is as good as it gets). This is a heads up that I intend to have some today. I will walk it off after work and have cauliflower for dinner.

You sound very balanced, maybe you needed a few more cals and less intense exercise. I hope it sticks. YAY for the 140s! I can't wait to get there too.

Im sure you will see the 140's on your scale! Getting into new sizes is so wonderful! You can and should be very proud of yourself. The size change is sometimes more important the the weight change. you probably did the right thing changing your exercise routine, mix it up a little and fool your body. You've been doing so great, just keep it up. You've got a great attitude

I like the idea of making a pact to get to the 140's and STAY a while.. how long is awhile? i would hope a lifetime. Maybe if we get there we will be more encouraged to get to the 130's ! Im with ya... let do it, get there and stay there! NO GAINS! (we won't count the unexplained weight fluctuations that happen one day and disappear the next)
