I have been a bit scatterbrained, perhaps neurologically exhausted like my trainer has said from doing so much olympic lifting. 1. Hurt myself practicing the snatch today, was going for a pr - 45kg (99lbs), everything went right, then I hit the bottom and something went wrong. I tried to get away from the bar as safely as possible but I had never been in that situation before, it ended up smacking my shin. Currently have a cantaloupe growing under my skin. 2. Annoyed with the lack of focus I felt and felt like I didn't get a good workout in so I am anxious and stressed. 3. A former teammate from competitive softball messaged me asking if I would be an assistant coach with her for a travel competitive softball team, like what I grew up playing. Now, I thought this summer would be working as a trainer, lifting, competing, etc. This is a big time commitment: tournaments are every weekend, mostly all day Saturday, and most of the day Sunday. And until the summer the practice twice a week. She asked me because she knows how much I love the game - like her. And before I gained so much weight, I definitely wanted to keep competitive softball in my life. I have the feeling I might be kind of flaky, and having to make big decisions like this makes me anxious and stressed. 4. As I was prepping lunch and dinner for tomorrow, I snuck like, a tiny cube of chicken and for some reason that also stresses me out. AH.

Wow, sorry to hear you got hurt, those barbells are pretty tough on our bodies... I hope your friend doesn't need your answer right away, and you have time to think about it before saying yes or no. Remember you're doing what you're doing to feel better, not to make you feel worse. Don't stress out too much about little things!

Thanks barbabella! I took it easy today, a friend was trying to work out my piriformis issues and breathing properly. Another friend is also being rough on me reminding me to ice and elevate. I had to get xrays this morning - nothing is broken though, my leg is just 2x normal size, nbd
