Let what's in your heart rule your body and your brain and you will get it together. Effortless weight loss never happens no matter the amount. Unless we use the chainsaw diet, which is effective but ooh all those scars.

Hey-don't be so down on yourself. Whem I was trying to quit smoking the DR said the more times you try the better your chances of being successful. So we all have bad days. It has taken me 5 months to loses 11 pounds. SLOW!!!! But it is staying off if I continue to focus on what I should and shouldn't eat. I hate to exercise. Do you have a pedometer. I wear it all day every day and it gives me motivation to walk and do more.

You can do this!! One thing that really helped me was to put together a spreadsheet to record my weight loss and project it forward (I used a rate of 1.5lb per week). I've spent lots of time just looking at the chart, taking note of the dates I was projected to reach each 1/2 stone milestone and really visualising how I was going to look and feel on that date at that weight. This has really helped me, and I'm now 65lb into my 77lb total weight loss journey, so only a few milestones left to visualise now! Good luck!!

Your journal really hit home today. I did not exercise yesterday and am so tired today, the thought of exercise makes me want to cry. I am going to try to do some tonight though as I know I need it. No time before I need to leave for work now. Hope today is better for you. Hang in there. We know that this is not a short journey and that it may be 2 steps forward and the occasional step back but we are still moving in the right direction.

You can do this, instead of beating yourself up, put that energy into figuring out a "fun" way to get this weight off. It isn't easy, for any of us.. but you can't let yourself get into a rut.. you've got to keep moving. You'll do... write in a journal at home... sounds silly, but write about what you feel, what you want to change... what you do and do not like about yourself right now.. things you want to change, etc.... you can hide it so that no one sees this but you ... and if you do mess up, write down how it made you feel and then go back and read it the next day.. You'll be surprised what you can learn from yourself!!

You have a lot of great advice here! Sometimes it just takes something and then it clicks. You'll get it. We have those days though and it must be something in the air because so many of my fatsecret friends are feeling a little off their game right now. Hang in there!

I know this sounds cliche, but just do it. Don't allow yourself to have the battle. Just don't take that extra bite. Just go to the gym. Stop MAKING yourself do it. The minute you pause, you get to the place where you have to convince yourself to do something. If you think you need to work out, just go. Don't think - we tend to overthink all this stuff and then we rationalize our way out of doing things - or, in the case of eating, INTO doing things. I am not successful all the time. But if I stop to think about a decision, then I usually don't follow through. If I just go to the gym, before I give myself a chance to think, I always do it. Good luck!!
