Pseudo Reality Check

I went to the accountant yesterday to figure out my taxes, so have been playing around with lots of numbers-all of them very depressing. I am surrounded by depressing numbers!

I had the calculator out this morning, so I decided to do a little bit of reconciliation with my diet calendar. From Feb through March I had a calorie deficit of 60,263. That should (I say that with a huge grain of skepticism) equal 17.218 lbs of FAT. I have lost a total of 3 lbs during this period. Where are those remaining 14 lbs I should have lost? It's NOT muscle, that is for sure.

I am still as determined to reach my goal to lose 30 lbs but it seems extremely unrealistic given my experience thus far. This is not an unfamiliar feeling. I am at war with my body and that is not a win/win situation. SCREAMING!

Unfortunately all calories are not created equal. Let me know if you want some reading material about this. Good luck, girl! Don't let the numbers get to you. Just keep searching for what will work for you.

If only it were that easy to calculate the lbs lost. I'm always a cup half full type of person. Think of it this way, you lost 3 lbs. You LOST 3 lbs. It's not a gain or even a stand-still, its a loss. And its only been a month so thats not bad at all. Hang in there. You might not get to 30lbs next month but take it 1 lb. at a time and you WILL get there.

I agree, It's 3 pounds. I think it's great! I didn't lose a single pound for an entire month. One day you'll wake up and wont believe what the scale says!
