Home, sweet home. Tip; if you don't have any fresh milk type product & you make your coffee too hot & strong, you can stir in a couple tablespoons of lowfat vanilla Greek frozen yogurt, lol. I must go shopping after Aqua class.

This afternoon we're going to a farmer's market for veggies, melons, corn; all the finest late summer local produce. I'm looking forward to Swiss chard;Yum!

New neighbors moved into the townhouse next door while we were away; I hope they're good people. I hope the couple that used to live there are doing well in Arizona. Our plants all survived our absence, even my big pot of basil. The large saucers under the pots & watering well before leaving took care of them the fuschia looks amazing; I'll bet the hummingbirds are loving it!

The scale was very nice this morning, even though I went over my RDI yesterday on the long flight across the country. Got to airport way early to try to upgrade to 1st class again; all Alaska people were in a 4 hour meeting so we couldn't even check our bags. Reagan has a very small Alaska presence, though it is pretty. No real good food choices for me; my sandwich was dry & the green tea I drank while my partner ate tempura made me pee all the way across the country, lol. We bought fruit & cheese plates on the plane, I had a couple goodies I had with me, & still ate the cookie they gave us! Oh well, today is a beautiful new day!

I am so looking forward to picking up Beau from his Retreat tomorrow morning. They don't allow pick-ups on Sunday so they can have family time; the retreat is right next to their home. This is the longest we've been away since we adopted him. My partner is worried about leaving him for two weeks in March, is actually talking about cutting our trip to Maui short. We'll see how our little guy is when I get him home.

Awww - Beau will be so very happy to see you! I almost missed him, too! You did so well on your trip - remember it is the majority of good choices that count! And, you walked ALL those small indulgences off with your forays all over the city.

Do tell us how Beau did! I know it is tough to leave pets.

Hmmm - maybe your new neighbors will have a cat too and you can trade pet care at vaca times. We have a wonderful neighbor that we do that with. Only time we took both to vet was when we were gone 2 weeks for my son's wedding. They did fine - and Baxie even got a steroid shot because his asthma kicked up and he was sneezing like crazy. The right vet can be a Godsend. Ours are open 7 days so that helps too. We were able to pick them up on Christmas Eve. So what is with the green tea and peeing. I bet I have gone 6 times already today and it is only 2 pm here. :) Congrats on doing so well while gone. I saw swiss chard yesterday at Whole Foods and it looked yummy but I got my southern standby collards.
