Working out really pays off! I've only lost about 3 pounds since I bought my size 12 shorts that fit (if a bit snuggly), but I tried them on this morning and they're pretty loose. I'm wearing them on our day at the Capitol in DC with a cool sleeveless top & light overshirt; me, sleeveless?!!? I should post a new picture.

Right now I'm wearing an Island Girl t-shirt I bought on Maui in 2005, which was the last time it fit me, lol. About the same time I bought those shorts, I tried on my Island Girl & Vegas Girl shirts & they were too snug around the chest, back & arms. They fit now, freshly washed. I'm wearing one to the gym. :o)

I signed a release yesterday so that my gym can use my success story; if they actually use it, I'll share it here. Heck, I should probably share it here, anyway. I'm not a body builder or in great shape; I have so many rebuilt parts I wouldn't be worth much on the open market, lol. I just started slow and did what I could when I could.

I should get moving; have a lot to get done in the two remaining days before we fly east. I need to spend quality time with Beau, too, let him know we always come back for him. He likes his Cat Retreat fine, but he loves his home & people.

YES - Beau needs the reassurance. Bodhi acted out a bit right before we left and after we got home. Of course, he was fine with the cat-sitter! They say cats don't act out behaviorally like dogs but even our vet said he was probably feeling insecure and miffed we left him home!

I have a picture of Beau curled up on a suitcase looking up at me like he's saying "NO WAY am I going to let you fill this thing up & go away again!"

Cats really do know when you're leaving and quickly learn what suitcases mean. When I used to fly to work, my cat used to pull small pieces of clothing (like underwear) out of my suitcase and drag them under the bed. Give Beau a big hug from all of us! Besides packing and planning, leaving pets behind is hard. And congrats on being a featured success star at your gym.

That is great! Nothing like the love of a pet!

Our furbabies are so attached to us, aren't they? Ours always greet us with great enthusiasm, even though in a short bit they tend to give us the cold shoulder for a little while, telling us they are not pleased that we left them! Have a great time in DC, and yes, post a picture. Your avatar pic looks fabulous!
