ack, feel aweful today. physical therapist has opened up more locked muscle knots and lots and lots of water today to flush all the toxins.

a gentleman bought me a Kombucha tea, this is brewed in Vero with hemp oil in it. they have it at the office. they gave me a second small cup as a courtesy after my session. come to find out it is fermented with sugar.

I don't know if this adds to my all over not feeling good. my intestines are off today which always gives me the bad feeling. it is supposed to be really good for adding good bacteria to your system.

Still in ketosis, the small amount of sugar did not effect me. I guess it is just the combination of both things setting me off.

I am ordered to rest my muscles today, so I think I will go off to bed for a while and rest. Lots of work to do today and hopefully after a couple hours I will feel more motivated.

Aww gees, don't they know your doing KETO! That stuff is loaded with sugar. I looked up how to make it. Glad you are back into ketosis. I hope you feel better in a few hours too, but rest. You deserve it!

thanks guys, I am starting to feel human been laying back relaxing and drinking lots of water. this therapy just does a number on me. I have muscle knots all over my body and we are just working on my calf's and a little on my upper legs. It is going to be a long haul.

generally, kombucha is keto friendly. the sugar is used in the fermentation process and eaten by the SCOBY used to ferment it. it can't be fermented without it. (I make my own) What’s left is a low sugar, low carb drink. When a double fermentation process is used, flavors/juices are added. Those are not keto friendly. not sure if the hemp seed oil may have caused an issue, as it has a 3:1 omega-6 to omega-3 ratio. closer to 1:1 is better for keto. Hope you feel better.

yes Helewis I was thinking the same thing. I had two cups and it did not effect the ketosis at all. I just think with the therapist releasing the toxins in my muscles and the drink just added to the whole load for the day. I am sensitive to a lot of different foods and this may be another. I will test it again when I feel better. I will be at the office for treatments for a while. plenty of time to test. the hemp made me a bit nervous when I read up on it.

personally I don't worry about the bouncing out of ketosis,it will bounce right back. for over a year I did the diet wrong and never did get the test to give me a reading. I thought it was just me. But after I figured out that it was because I had high protein and high calories,I still shake my head at myself thinking I did not have to track or reduce my calories. Everything started working when I woke up and started smelling the roses. I have never been deep purple or have the slightest concern about how deep I was in. there are absolutely no studies that state being deeper into ketosis is more beneficial. I guess I can only blame myself, my brain fog has been pretty bad the past couple years. I should have started working on it a while back.
