Where I live there is only Dunkin Donuts unless I drive a distance. No Krispy Kreme’s in NJ anymore either.

In Toms River, NJ there is MRS. OBCO’s on Fischer Blvd., a dumpy looking shack of a donut shop that cooks them right there practically in front of you. By far, the BEST Cinnamon Old Fashions ANYWHERE. There is another really good old school bakery in Tinton Falls, but I don’t know the name. Then there is The FLAKY TART, in Atlantic Highlands. More a pastry shop than an old school bakery, it’s the Holy Grail of Jersey Shore...but it’s almost an hours drive from where I live now. The most DECADENT COCONUT LAYER CAKE you have EVER tasted. Not overly sweet but rich and creamy. It’s a religious experience.

OOH, the spinach feta croissants looks so good. The scones aren't far behind :)

I've never had a Krispy Kreme donut. Or a Cinnabon. Or been in a Starbucks lol We don't have those places in my town. We do have a Dunkin Donuts though. I like their coffee.

My kryptonite! I love doughnuts. There's a shop by me that makes the most amazing blueberry doughnuts. They are a rare treat now!

I've allways had a desire to own / operate a doughnut shop. There are simply too many Dounkin's and Krispy's around my area to take a chance on it. I looked into a Krispy franchise at one time. Unless your consisted of $2M (Liquid), they don't even want to talk to you.

When Krispy Kreme first came to our area, a co-worker waited in line for HOURS and brought them in. He gave me one, I took a bite, but having never been a doughnut fan, I didn't think it was a big deal so he took it out of my hand and walked away. He didn't like me after that.

We just had a low carb, low sugar and low calorie donut shop open here in Boise. They are baked not deep fried. They aren’t too bad but pretty dense compared to the fluffy typical donut

I was never a big fan of Krispy Kreme. I thought the store was fun to go to because you saw the conveyor belt with all the donuts going passed. But their donuts were delicious warm if you like cake with a lot of air in it. I’m not a big fan of Dunkin’ Donuts either. I like old-school bakeries that make product from scratch on premises. Even though we know that we are all trying to stay away from eating cakes and pastries and cookies and donuts etc., they’re nice to have on a special occasion. So I think it’s fair enough once in a while to mention them here even though I know it’s difficult for some of us to see, including me!

The best fast food breakfast meal at Dunkin' Donuts is the Wake-Up Wrap with Egg and Ham. 200 calories, 11 g fat, 730 mg sodium, 30 g carbs, 2 g fiber, 3 g sugar, and 17 g of protein. Step away from the donut!! Do you really want a sugar crash at 10 in the morning?

On one of our last vacations, drove around all the New England states surprised that many DD!! Maple frosting (you could smell the Vermont!!) and the pumpkin spice!! also liked the fact at night they'd discount them!!

Krispy came into Denver with a lot of fanfare. People sat in their cars in the heat for hours. Now, there is only one left. Lot of franchise issues. There are a lot of independents-Voodoo Donuts, LeMars. DD does have the best coffee.

Wouldn't it be nicer to post something motivational or inspiring to everyone's goals instead of a pile of high sugar fatty foods that are anithema to everyone's mission on here?? THis isn't really a helpful post for this community and I'm not sure what message you are trying to send ?

A donut isn’t going to kill anyone. It’s the other 12 in the baker’s dozen under the bed or in the closet that’ll get you. 🍩
