alllicat's Journal, 14 April 2010

Well, here I am. I've been finding words hard to type lately. I don't know what's going on with me. Food is boring me and so is this lifestyle change.

I'm not stopping. I never will. I like myself too much now, but I'm just, I don't know, ick. I didn't exercise on Monday and I hated how I felt. So yesterday, I went out for a walk. It wasn't as long as I would have liked, but it was something. Then I chowed down on grilled buffalo chicken, good for you pigs in a blanket, and some whole wheat margarita pizza. Surprisingly this morning I'm down a few ounces.

I'm trying to eat all of my points, but I'm just not hungry. It kinda stinks. I'm not hungry for good food, not even like "healthy," food, just normal, I want candy. I've been craving peanut butter and white chocolate like I'm getting paid to endorse it. TOM was last week, so there's no worry there, I don't know what it is.

Ah well, I'm continuing to track my food, and I'll try to write journals. I just need to get out of this funk.

Can i just say that you may be in an emotional slump but seeing your progress has actually inspired me! I stumbled across your journal and reading it made me think "this girl sounds like me" and then i see how you have dropped about 40 lbs and you did it 1 pound at a time and i shrieked out of happiness. It's Possible! Even when we feel a little nmotivated, you can just continue on your path rather than give up and maybe in a few month's i'll also be able to say..."I'm down 4o lbs". Good job! and thank you!

Sometimes, its best to just give into the craving for a moment, get it out of your system, and then get back to business as usual. Your human, you can't be perfect all the time - what counts is getting back on the wagon!

Well, you must be out of the "honeymoon" phase of dieting, lol. That's when the excitement ebbs and it's hard to find the motivation. You need to change things up. Take a new class. Something you have always wanted to do (martial arts, cooking class, biking, hiking, etc.). Try a new recipe every week. You just need to find something to excite you. Life itself, can get boring sometimes. But you for you for sticking with it.

I don't know what to say except: Be strong! don't let the cravings win the fight. You worked hard, you like the results, why would you throw all this to the wind for candy? Of course you can have one ( if you're able to stop after one lol!) but it's taking a chance to over indulging. You'll have to find inside yourself the motivation to keep going, I'm afraid nobody can tell you what to do or what to think. Hang in there buddy!
