NOT SO MUCH OF AN ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...

i opened the refrigerator door last night to find the veggies for dinner and they all ran away - after chasing them down into the basement - they confessed that the only reason they stayed at my house was because it was a safe area and now they dont feel safe anymore...

an update from the job situation...i received a call from my boss and he has given me 2 weeks for the surgery - i have one week that i have enough pto (paid time off) to cover and one week unpaid...if i take any additional time they will have to reevaluate my employement...believe it or not i am at peace with it, God will heal me within the 2 weeks and i will do my best to help with that process...

thanks everyone for your help and prayers with this...

If you are happy with it then that's fine. I do hope you don't have a strenuous job that involves any lifting. Does all that running after the veggies count as exercise?

LOL!!! I love your veggies paragraph. I do hope you're right about God healing you within the two weeks you have. Hope you don't have to lose your job over it but if it does happen, it might be for the best. Everything happens for a reason.

Glad to hear you'll be able to work out the surgery and keep your job. Funny veg story! :)

Good for you! 2 weeks will be good. My mom just had that surgery and she was doing great in that amount of time. We will all pray that you do too. Are you saying you are out of vegges or you are not eating them? lol

Sounds like possible good news on the job front. What is absolutely good news is your peace with the circumstances. KUDOS to you.

yum dinner last night sounds good-except for the tilapia part-fish are safe with me, lol. I am glad you now have the time to get the surgery without having to lose your job. How sad is it that in 2010 (well practically) we are faced with choosing between our health and keeping a job. Hrumph.

Good luck with the surgery! Your boss sounds like he did the best he could within the rules. Maybe if they fire you they'd have to rehire you for more pay? Just a dream probably!

What a sucky situation to sacrifice one's position because of a necessary surgery. Talk about added stress. If this place loses you as an employee - then they have lost a good person - right? Sometimes what seems to be the worst turns out to be the best!
