Did only push-ups and sit-ups this morning I think my weight is stuck because of doing lots of cardio so I am going to start doing more strength with cardio.

Has anyone done the 21 day fix? If so what did you think of it?

I haven't done it but based on what it appears to be, you may already have mastered control over portion control and not need it. You are doing well.

I'm trying to do more strength training also and cut back on cardio, unfortunately an elbow issue is making that difficult. I've heard of the 21 day fix, haven't done it. Good luck w/ it if you go that route.

At your height, perhaps your goal weight isn't realistic? I detest cardio. I get my cardio by how I lift my weights. It's anaerobic through the aerobic cycle. I just think of the lift rest period as the difference between sprints and slow jogging alternately. If you haven't taken a break from dieting down for a long time, I'd suggest a week or two of maintenance.

As with Northern...I do zero cardio outside of weightlifting, it's just not needed.

@Northern yes I have been focusing more on cardio then strength but going back to strength. My goal weight is just a goal the closest I have ever come to that weight was maybe in 8th grade, lol or last year I hit 189. My main thing is just to always remain under 200 and hover between 190-196 I feel good there and look good there. What more could a guy ask for. @ Ches, it seems like a ton of food though that is why I am wondering. One person at worked tried they said it didn't work, I think because they packed as much as they possibly could fit in those little containers.

In the past, I was guilty of over stuffing smaller containers. I stopped lying to myself at the end of last year. This year, I am more consistent with logging my food, targeting my RDI and increasing my physical activities.

Yes Ches, we have to honest with ourselves. You would believe the amount of food they packed in them barley would close.

Plateaus are normal. However, repetition and consistency of exercise and calories is actually your enemy. You want to vary your exercise (try to set a schedule, build in rest days) and you want to shift around your calorie intake some so your body can't get accustomed to the same thing over and over. If you're on a plateau, or you feel like you hit a rut, focus on maintaining your current weight and don't feel discouraged if it takes a couple of weeks to get out of it. I'm on limited mobility after spraining my knee, so I'm making my focus just maintaining right now, which thus far I have done. *shrug* When I can get back to my regular exercise, I will be happy.

I found that the exercise and the diet have to be constantly changed up. Go 2-3 months, then try new foods and a new form of exercise. Keep pushing the muscles to deal with new motions (everything from boxing to cycling, squash/tennis, Pilates, circuit training - the sports are endless, and even taking them outside on different terrains will teach you to balance & coordinate accordingly).

I like running but for me excessive cardio caused some other issues. I'm into weight lifting now with limited running. I would highly recommend concentrating on weights. Nwever done the 21 day fix.
