Sadiebear's Journal, 23 October 2014

Good morning FS friends! Happy to see the scales have stayed the same for the past few days.. So excited with the drop this week, I officially have moved from obese to severely overweight. BMI at 29.9 which is still way close to 30 (yeah, it's 30) so I won't get too excited.

Goal this month is to take off another 3-5 lbs. I keep telling myself it's taken me 15 years to slowly add my weight, don't get frustrated. Continue to watch calories, record, plan and exercise.

I've been riding my bike really hard, mainly for the cardio. It's a Trek and a heavy bike. I've also been using Map My Fitness app on my phone and it tells me how far I've gone, speed as well as plays music. What's really cool about it is if you ride so many rides, you appear on courses that you ride if someone created that course. Last week I moved from 4th place on the 1.6 mile course to 3rd (1st for female) and took the title of Sprint Queen - average speed was 14.3 mph. So excited as I've tried really hard to get this title. (been chasing it for 3 weeks).

Enjoy your day FS friends! We are weight loss warriors! We CAN do this! Happy Day!

9pm - totally owned a 3 minute plank tonight! Back was hurting and with this exercise, heard lots of popping. To my pleasant surprise, back feels AWESOME! Wow.

Great drop! Good news. I agree, most of us want our results so quickly, which is why we are so disappointed when we don't see progress. But you are absolutely correct - it took us all our lives to put on the weight - while it won't take the rest of our lives to lose it - we can't get it all at once, right? I made that mistake before and failed. When i switched my mindset to accepting it will take slower than i'd like, it freed me up to make progress and gain understanding. You will get it - excellent work on cardio and love the idea of Sprint Queen! Great work!

Thanks, y'all. Broke my left leg (took off the tibial plateau) and with 10 months rehab, then an old softball injury to the right foot, walkie no longer. Foot cant' handle it, thus my best friend my bike! I have a TREK mountain bike and have an awesome saddle to save the girlie bottom parts. Safely ride 15 miles easily. Ride by myself as I challenge myself pushing the cardio. LOVE my bike.
