Bubble wrapper

This journal is meant for people who already lost a lot of weight. People who lost only a little weight, or are at the beginning of their journey will not know what i'm talking about...

I have lost 25+ kilo, and when i stand in front of a mirror i usually pinch my tummy, my hips, underneath my arms, and all the well-known fat storage places, that are starting to droop, but not yet flat... So the other day i pinched my tummy again, and at the bottom of the loose skin, i felt underneath my skin, a sort of bubble. Ok immediately alerted to having cancer i started to explore every part of my body for more bubbles, and i found them... LOADS of them... In every lose skin there where bubbles, big as a pingpongball and small as a beebee-gun bullet...

And then i pinched one, and it popped, and the bubble was gone...

And i started to pinch every bubble i could find, some popped and went away, some where hard like a rock and did not pop. Most of the soft popping ones, i did not even have to pinch that hard... Now because i tried to pop the bigger ones too i have some blue- marks on my skin but other then that, there are no signs of the bubbles ever have been there, except for the big rocks that are still there...

since that day, i pinch myself everyday, trying to pop the big ones, seems to me i am popping old cells containing fat, spreading the fat so my body can do away with it, but really there is NO sign on the scale it is working (*lol*) and i have no idea WHAT it is i am popping.

Now i been googling this phenomena, and i KNOW i'm not the only one!!!

so have a nice "popping" day everybody!
greetz maud.

wow. then go find an ugly doctor and get a consult! seriously though - most likely something harmless like epidermoid/keratin-filled cysts, but if you pop them yourself they are more likely to come back than if you have them excised.

Maud. I just had a thought. Maybe your boxing buddy can look after them for you.

You are the winner! I read then pinched around and all I have is loose skin and no bubbles. Maybe they are little cysts. Those are filled with fluid. I had a cyst the size of an egg on one of my ovaries that the Drs popped and it went away.

Don't do this... see a doctor and be safe.

Definitely see a doctor. If you don't want to see your doctor try an urgent care center/walk in doctor. If the news is not good then your doctor can take over. If all is well then your cute/attractive doctor doesn't need to know.

Like Rose said, if you don't want your normal doctor know then find someone else. This is not fat related, which is why you aren't finding anyone else on the site who has experienced this. If it was trauma related then you would know what it from and be able to dismiss it. I am more concerned about the fact that some of them are hard then the fact that you have the air bubbles to begin with. That concerns me that there may be something in the hard ones that shouldn't be there and is causing the air bubbles. It may be nothing, but I would still go see your doctor or someone about it. Whatever the cause, it is It is not a common condition and is in no way related to loosing fat. What you described with having gas bubbles under your skin or in tissue then it is Subcutaneous Emphysema. Subcutaneous Emphysema has no one cause, it is simply the presence of gas bubbles under the skin or in the tissue. That doesn't mean it's there for a horrible reason, although there are some bad reasons for it and if you don't know you have the more common ones- like surgery or trauma, then I would certainly mention the bubbles and the hard bumbs to a professional care giver. Again, it may be nothing, the condition is unusual and has many different causes- however fat loss is not one of them. I don't want to alarm you unduly, but I also don't want you to ignore the symptom and have it be something worse. I am all for mindfulness about when I approach a care giver with an issue. My husband complains that I am the opposite of a hypochondriac, obviously from having had too many serious situations that I survived I now tend to try to deal with things on my own until I can't. Hating clinical environments doesn't help. I wholeheartedly understand why you would want to avoid bringing this up or going in for it when you feel fine. However, even though we are across a rather large bit of water from each other, I am very fond of you and would hate to see something serious ignored that undermines your well being. *hugs*
