crabby Kat's Journal, 09 February 2013

I finally made my cilantro lime jalapeno kale chips tonight; heavenly, though I wish I'd had a hotter jalapeno to use. I used the Lacinato kale, and it was perfect. My partner was bothered by the baking smell, though loved the smell of the sauce I blended to coat the leaves with.

We brought home dinner from Buster's; I had a big salad with a lot of delicious smoked turkey breast sliced up on it. I made a dressing out of ranch dressing and hot (spicy) BBQ sauce which was really good. Neither of us had much energy but we got a lot done. The Starbucks and Sees visits helped maintain our energy levels lol.

Do any of you have partners, husbands or wives that ask you what kind of Sees Candies they like? Do you know the answer? I sure do; I even helped a ladyy who was struggling to remember the name of a chocolate, trying to describe the flavor. I led her right to the butterscotch squares. I know Sees, heaven help me!

Ha Kitkat - I think the last time I had See's was when I flew through SeTac ...wow.. long time ago. The kale chips sound great - I made my first batch last week but they were too oily and salty and I didn't bake right or something because I couldn't imagine bagging them for later. I'll get there. Message me your recipe for the jalepeno?
