Happy Valentine's Day! I came downstairs this morning and found a box of See's Chocolates under a pillow on my chair. The card with it was from Beau (our cat) and "the squirrel" who talked him into getting the card, but the chocolates were from him. The card has a picture of a squirrel sitting up holding a red heart. Too cute!

Can't help but think about how good a chocolate would taste with my coffee....

Just one, savored slowly, very good.

One of my friends from the gym called; she made beans from scratch & is bringing me some before class today. How sweet is that? She's from Costa Rico & knows that I'm impressed that she takes the time to cook beans from scratch. I just got some of my cookie dough balls out of the freezer and popped them in the oven; she and her husband will have fresh cookies to enjoy (I baked the ones they liked the best at Christmas).

I just hung a "love you forever" banner in the dining room, brought down a Happy Valentine's Day balloon I had hidden under a blanket in my closet. It's now floating above a bag with a box of chocolates that I hand-picked for my partner at See's a couple days ago. We're planning on staying in & having my light version of pizza & salad, which could mean we have reservations somewhere. I'll get the Boboli whole wheat crust, but pick out something nice to wear, just in case!
