Today has been so much better! I went to the gym, had a little bit of a hard time in Zumba, but managed to keep going without tweaking my knee. I went directly into the willPower & grace class and did pretty awesome; feel strong and in control of my body. Woohooo! My knee actually feels better...I'm still alternating ice & heat to guard against swelling/stiffness.

My partner was able to call on daughter's work phone; her company is paying for international calls. I talked to them as they were sitting on lounges on the beach, being served food and drinks. Sigh. They had a wonderful guided tour of the area by an employee of the resort that opened the car doors for them each time they stopped. Not an organized tour, just a ride around to see what they wanted, take pictures of birds, monkeys, iguanas, etc. They couldn't decide on an exercise class to take, so this guy drove them to a trail to hike on. When they decided they couldn't climb down the hundreds of steps to the beach, the guide just drove them around, showed them the Pacific side of the peninsula, then the other side on the inlet/bay whatever its called, and everything in between. The resort is like 5 miles long itself!

I made a yummy lunch of apple pecan wholegrain pancakes (just grated an apple, added liquid egg, cinnamon, & buttermilk wholegrain pancake mix & they turned out really good, with decent protein content. Last night I made savory pancakes with grated zucchini, ground turkey breast, egg stuff, organic corn pancake mix, chili powder & a pinch of chipotle chili powder, with a big side of broccoli. I like my creative meals! Tonight I'm truly going to make my spicy turkey enchilada casserole, & have cauliflower with it.

I need to set up a Facebook page to keep up with my family as well as some of my instructors. Guess it's time to dip my toes in the modern form of keeping in touch. Wonder who will show up from my past?
