I'm thankful for the beautiful sunny days we're having; still cold, but gorgeous out. Just saw a red tail hawk land in a nearby tree, pause, then swoop down in the wetlands, probably picking up dinner.
I took my partner to the airport last night; off for a week in Costa Rica with daughter. Wow, is there a hole in my world! Maybe it's because of the leaving-the-country part; no texting, phone calls more difficult. I got a text from Houston as they were boarding the plane for the last leg of the trip early this morning; red-eye flights sound awful! I already sent an e-mail for when they're settled in enough to make use of the wifi there.
I think it will take a while for me to get over missing my partner & get on with enjoying the feeling of freedom that comes with being on my own.
I'm free to eat what I please; planning a fiery hot Turkey Enchilada Casserole. I can exercise whatever hours I want, as many classes a day as my body can handle. Unfortunately, the pain in my left knee and hamstring are kind of interfering with my plans. I have to choose activities wisely to give my body to heal. It's a little late in the day to make that casserole; tomorrow for sure!
I'd like to find some jalapeno powder to use in making my own kale chips; found a recipe that I can heat up a bit. I do have some chipotle chili powder, which will probably do just fine. I have everything but the kale; think I want organic so will stop at Whole Foods on the way home from the gym tomorrow (I'll try not to buy the expensive ready-made cilantro lime jalapeno kale chips they have there).
I just need to find some energy! I slept like a log last night, was careful in my Silver Sneakers class today, went shopping, made lunch, and have pretty much been planted here since. Watching birds & squirrels & Beau, listening to music, reading the new book I bought & downloaded on my Kindle, etc. Oh yeah, I put a load of laundry in; guess I should get up & dry it. My butt's falling asleep, anyway.
