I'm back, and I can't say that I was very successful in the past week. However, I learned (again) that I don't like the way I feel when I eat too much of the wrong food and don't get enough activity. It hit me hard this time. I am tired, craving carbs, and have more swelling than I ever remember. Last night, my ankles were huge and my fingers were stiff. Normal for me when I'm eating right is that I can see every bone in my feet. It actually hurts. I'm also slow, feel heavy, and not very attractive at all. My jeans are a little tight around the waist.

So today, I am back to eating well, and my body is saying, "Hey, where's the good stuff?" I'm ignoring her, she is just being a big baby, and once her blood sugar levels out, she'll be ok. In the meantime, we are a little crabby.

I'll record my weight in a few days when I lose this excess water. I haven't even been on the scale since I got home. I cannot leave home without it again!

Welcome back on track. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and yet it is so tempting to just eat junk and slack, isn't it? Your body is asking "where's the good stuff", but we both know that before we know it, it will love you for giving you the GOOD stuff. :)

I looked at my legs/ankles last night and they looked hugely swollen, but surprisingly the weight was just 196. I was expecting 200 again. 25 pounds gotta go.

I had the best time with my family and friends that I can remember in a very long time. I had some great bonding time with one of my brothers and my nephew and my son-in-law in particular. I have some wonderful men in my family, and my daughter had great examples and chose her man wisely. While I feel physically crappy, I feel emotionally on top of the world.
