BuffyBear's Journal, 20 October 2012

I had no intention of changing my image this morning but I wanted to share my new peach tree with you - and my FS will not paste my PhotoBucket pictures. I am beyond frustrated.

Please note - I am having a bad hair day in the picture! I'll get a better one some day.

You are soooo cute!!! Your hair is sexy, don't cha know! WOW that peach tree looks healthy. How did you find that so late in the year. Around here... they pack up all the trees and put out mums and decorative cabbages.

Buffy, that photo is ADORABLE! And, like M2B, I'm amazed that you were able to find a fruit tree in the fall. Pansies, mums? Sure, but fruit trees??? I guess your garden center is one of the few who actually "walks the walk" about fall being the best time for planting.

Mom - you are such a sweetie! We found those trees at Lowes last Sunday - they had a very good selection. We bought two flowering dogwoods the same day.

Sandy - Thanks. Like I just told M2B - they were at Lowes. Maybe it is because ours has a big greenhouse.

AWWW - you look great! We finally can see you. Were you trying to upload a photo to your journal at first? You copy the html code from your photobucket shot, then inside your already started journal you hit the icon for image and paste the photobucket link in between the img symbols within your journal - if you already knew that - sorry, but thought I might be helping.

HCB - when it comes to computers I'm always grateful for help. When I "right click" on my journal the "paste" option is not highlighted. My paste works everywhere else - this only happens in FS. Any ideas?

Buffy you look so skinny and you are rocking the Debbie Harry hairstyle!!!

Hmmm - next time I upload a phot to FS, I will experiment and see if I can find an answer.

You look adorable and about 20 years old. So cute! Try copying your picture with your keys - control C and then to paste try Control V.

Buffy you look like a teenager in that pic..and your tree is sooo cute..I think your hair looks great...Can't help you with the pic showing stuff..I hit and miss and then it shows up..but I don't know how I did it..LOL...

Neptune - Duh - yes, my controls - the way we used to do stuff before we had mice! Thanks!

Tracy - Now you are getting funny. As for my hair - it is just like Glenda's (the good witch on the original Wizard of OZ). So I have to straighten it with a flat iron and then curl it. In this picture it is straightened but not yet curled.

Bren - I appreciate that. I think peach trees are so pretty the way they grow (kind of like a weeping willow when they are loaded with peaches). Can't wait to see if I'll ever get peaches.

WoW Buffy- what a skinny girl you are--you look great! Are you sure your 58? cause you don't look it. Like you I am technically challenged and can't manage to figure out how to post images to my journal :(

Buff -- LOVE the new photo - agreeing with everyone else, you look like a teen - not someone's grandma, lol. Great job on the peach tree -- hey, peaches are not low carb :)

Newmooney - Glad to meet someone else technically challenged! As for my age - why do you think I never show my close-ups?

Gigi - As for the carb count of peaches - I figure that by the time that tree ever produces a fruit I'll be in maintenance and will be able to sneak one without hurting anything! BTW - Congrats again on having the courage to lower your goal weight.

Peaches, melons and berries are great for maintenance. When the tree is matured, I am driving over to pick some. LOL! I should be thin by then too. ;) Our Lowe's only has fruit trees and Dogwoods in the spring when they are blooming everywhere... and they go half price by summer until they are all gone. Now is the perfect time to plant trees. It is so cool you got them.

Mom - wish they had been half price.
