Lotus's Journal, 24 March 2008

I was just looking over my journal and I noticed that the last time I cheated, I had only been at the same weight for two days. If instead of binging I would have tried to amp it up I surely wouldn't have plateued for a week!
I was down 0.2 this morning to where I was before, 127.6.
It was a pretty good feeling to not have a gain after a potluck type holiday. I hope I can continue to show that much self control at family get togethers, even at the holidays including Christmas. I did it last year until Christmas day, then ate a lot on Christmas and since I was on a low carb diet I gained 8 pounds which was traumatic to me!
I don't like to overeat just because everyone else is. The issues with overeating that I still have are the occasional urges to eat sweets or junk when very stressed or angry. It doesn't always translate into a food craving, but out of the blue sometimes it just does. I watched that episode of Paul mcKenna's I can make you thin last night, he was talking about emotional eating.
Although the tapping acupuncture points technique was quite out there, I am going to give it a shot. I practiced it a couple times but I haven't tried it when actually stressed yet. I am sure I will have the opportunity before long. Even if I am not having a food craving at the time, if it can help me to take 5 and calm down it would definitely be a good improvement.
Kaelyn has been stressing me lately with her naughty tantrums. Oh and she learned some new words, and I sure didn't teach them to her(hell, damn, sh*t!) Isn't that awful!! The worst thing is that she knew they were bad words even before anyone told her. She was mad because I wouldn't give her more candy yesterday and she looked at me with as evil look as she could, And said "Shithell!" I tried to act normal because acting shocked and making a big deal over it makes it worse.
I said that's not nice to say to me.
She kept glaring at me and said "I SAID THAT MAMA!!" And was thinking....I am such a failure as a parent! OI.
She really didn't learn it from me though. Brandon and I got into an arguement over it yesterday because he doesn't censor himself like he should.
The worst swear I say in front of her is Goshdarnit and Dagnabit. Yes I am a hillbilly(not really)! :D
I am cautiously optimistic about getting another pound or two off this week!! Hopefully it will warm up today so I can walk outdoors, but if not I will still get a good workout. I have a lot of housework to do too.
Addon, this just a note to self, according to a certain website, for a good rate of weight loss for my height I need to average around 10050 calories a week. This comes out to an average of 1435 daily. Here is the template they gave, but as long as the numbers add up to the same the results will be the same.

That is just a guide, I am not really changing what I am already doing. I just am still flirting with this zigzagging thing because it does seem to prevent platauing. I don't want to stay at a high calorie range or a very low calorie range too many days in a row to avoid metabolism slowdown. I think that is pretty well documented. I gotta mix it up now since I am so close to my goal, my body is fighting it a little. Of course with my last binge I didn't give it much of a chance to continue downwards did I?

I also do the zig zagging calories. I really think it works. Are you eating 5 small meals a day? Because that is great too. I'm so happy your on my team, and I look forward to the following weeks!

Hey Team mates! What website has the formula for zig zagging calories? I tend to zig zag naturally (not in a good way) and would love to try it to boost my metabolism.

Good work losing over the Easter weekend! I completely empathise over the whole nightmare toddler situation - my little angel is increasingly showing his monster side and being quite horrid at times! I'm assured they grow out of it eventually... What was the website you used for zigzagging guide? That sounds really interesting.

I really want to try this zig zagging thing, could you post the website for us all? Thanks for the inspiration!

ok I couldn't figure out how to get it to go right to the calculators, but it's there, under calculators, and then click on zigzagging for fat loss or muscle gain
