Ugh so sorry! I had "acute cervical strain" after a multiple-car accident 25 years ago. When that neck pain kicks in it is so hard to deal with!

Thanks Jen.... support here means a lot to me. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. So sorry you had to go through that, I have a friend who is due to an accident. Trying everything I can not to have another surgery-- a totally fused neck is not a good option--my amazing primary doc agrees.

Is the pain in the back of your neck? I bought a pillow on Amazon called a "dog bone" pillow and put it just under my neck and between my main pillow and it really helps. I just can't sleep on my back for long and that's the only way it works. Hope you feel better!

Don't worry about working out - taking care of your neck is far more important. Hope the injection will help.

Doobrie, nothing but stretching until I talk to the doc on wed. I used to do spinal nerve monitoring during surgeries and diagnosis and worked for A chiropractor for several years. With a previous 3 vertebrae cervical fusion I am so aware of being careful.. he will be able to see the blown discs as he uses a fluoroscopy wheedling the injection. 2 discs above the fusion and 1 below.
