Has anyone tried a "fat fast"? How did it go?
Did you lose weight?
Did the weight you lost, stay off?
Were you okay working out while on your fast?
What did you eat?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. ☺

I never did a fat fast but I have worked out (running 7 miles and lifting weights) while doing a 'water fast' (drinking only water, bone broth, and coffee). I have journaled on this site about how I lost 4 pounds in one day on 2 different occasions.

I fast. Experience with IF, OMAD, and multi day. Working out is fine, especially cardio. Results with fasted lifting and HIIT vary. Good luck! #fastingrulesdietingdrools

As far as I understand it, fat-fast acts like a water-fast, and is considered good for our first attempt at extended fasting. You may want to look up muscle sparing fasting. Basically you allow the essential protein intake with some fat to make it satiating. Feel this can be seen as a sustainable alternative, where body fat loss is in focus. Tried a bit of extended fasting, and didn't like the weight gain afterwards. Feel more at ease with stepping down slowly :)

Thanks everybody. I've done IF. It's not hard for me because I've never been a breakfast person anyway. I used to fast every Friday, about 18 hours of liquid only. I do want to keep my protein up becuase I'm very active. I might try a fatty meat fast for three days. ☺. Need to break a plateau.
