Has anyone taken anything to boost them into ketosis quicker.. there is so much stuff (ie shakes and drinks) out there.. advice please!

From all I've read, they are really just a waste of money. I've never used them. It's a process. Cut carbs low, 20g of total carbs a day or less, And proteins can't be too high either. They'll be turned into sugar in your body if too much, and higher fats. Macros should be about 5% carbs, 15% proteins and 80% fats. You'll get into ketosis within a few days to a week and a half it so. Keep your electrolytes up as well because if not you'll feel off, Keto flu. Bouillon is good for that it just take a punch of salt off and on throughout the day. Also salt your good enough.

If you're burning exogenous ketones that are in these products, you're not burning actual ketones produced by your body. Skip the shakes and drinks and stick with cutting your carbs/sugars to below 20g net/daily.

Thanks for asking the question - I was beginning to wonder about that too! I've been working at this for about 2 weeks now and just today saw results on the scale - it'll happen.

a woman can have 45-60g per meal on carbs and 20g per snack on carbs..25-30g of sugar per day, watch your trans-fats, drink only diet soda, make sure u eat at least 3 small meals a day, eat 3 snacks a day and of course exercise you will loose weight weekly as I have been following this plan.

Skip the supplements. Focus on basics. Learn the diet and your body's response to it. Fasting can be very effective. First just get into ketosis; then worry about faster.

RJlyles: I assume you missed the original question! Drea is following the keto WOE; this is very low carb. The amount you cite is more than I eat in 2 weeks! Fine if it works for you, but not ketogenic.

When I want to be hard into Ketosis, nothing for me beats a 4-5 Egg Breakfast, with 4 Bacon and/or 2-3 oz of ham. Watch that you drink something zero carb all day, for me I like Monster Zero or Poweraide with Zero. I find that I am full all day long, and when I do this 2 days in a row I am deep in KETO. No Pills Required. If you have never been in KETO you may need to do 3 days of this.

I stopped counting grams and focus more on the percentages. 80% fat, 5% Carbs, and around 15% protein. I try to keep my protein under 4 ounces a meal. I don't do shakes, try to keep it whole foods as much as possible. My calories tend to be higher than I would like, but working on that. I also test higher in the morning than I do at night. You are probably going to crave salt. I found myself drinking pickle juice at first. LOL Good luck.

Hello, the problem with shakes is that they have lots of sugar in them and it turns into carbs, so you need to be very careful on some of these shakes, they sound healthy but they don’t make you loose weight 😔

I use powered MCT oil in my coffee for a boost.

I’m trying Chris W 77 advise on the eggs. Hell I can do it for three days. The poor chickens will be barren after this sequence. I have been yo-yo stalled too! So e cited. That’s for your inquiry! Good luck to all of us
