Hi guys. I'm naobilynn, I'm just here to log my food. A little about me: I grew up malnourished as a kid, when I hit 17 I was given a medication for mental health reasons, it made gain 100 lbs in a year. I went from being 5'9" and 120 to 5'9" and 220. I hadn't changed my diet or exercise, it was hard hearing everyone's opinion change. People had thought I was anorexic(which in a way I was) and then they started calling me fat and that I needed to stop eating so much. It hurt pretty bad cause I was barely eating anything so I went 'well, if everyone thinks I'm a pig anyways' and started eating poorly. Around the age of 20 I stopped taking that medicine and lost 30 lbs. I never modified my food or diet habits so I was still eating very poorly. It all came to a head winter 2018 when I went to the doctor for severe side pain and lethargy. I got diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver, which my grandma had died of 3 years prior. Luckily it was still in its early stages. I ended up changing my diet drastically, no high fructose corn syrup, no ham or beef, paying attention to my nutritional intake. I went from 238 to 200 in about 6 months. A happy side effect. I am now 29 and in the best shape of my life but there is always room for improvement. The reason I use this site is to keep an eye on my nutritional intake. My main goal is to maintain my diet and work on my exercise habits. The number on the scale is just a data point that can show if I've been letting my health slip and a reminder of how far I've come. It's good to meet you all.
