I felt pretty hungry, so had a quarter cup of chopped beef about 4 pm. That was fifty-two hours, which is a pretty good stretch of time. Restarting the count now.

It has been forty-four hours since I last ate solid food. I've had butter and coffee, but both have minimal effect on blood glucose. My weight is down again. Not eating helps with the pain. I have enough fat stores to go without food until next May. In my research, some doctors claimed that cancer starts as normal cells that do not get recycled properly in normal bodily processes. Fasting recycles them. Frankincense helps with that.
Since I refused the MRI and other invasive testing, I don't know how far the cancer has spread. If it left where it started, the next stop would be the colon, and that would explain the spread of the pain. There could be a dozen other things causing pain, but to someone who believes that natural treatments are superior to the allopathic, all of them can be handled with plenty of water, sea salt, nutrition and/or fasting. Fasting is easier, but I am taking supplements, too. The supplements and the butter keep me from a true water fast, but the lack of protein and insulin producing calories should recycle the cancer and the flaps of excess skin I've developed. We'll see. So far, I feel much better than I did before I started the current fast.

As expected, so far today, I got just over three hundred words. After nap, I may get more. I do my best writing between 10 pm and 5 am. No one disturbs me! This means that I usually sleep in the daytime during November. My goal is to finish my Thanksgiving.
Last night, I hurt a lot, but I took some action that should make me feel better. One such action involved exercise. I walked down to the office and back - maybe a thousand feet each way. That does not sound like much, but in my condition, it seemed like a mile! I remember sneering at someone for walking a mere mile, but to be fair, she was only 25, of normal weight, and thought it was an accomplishment. At the time, I was used to walking five miles one way with a 1500 foot rise, and was working on bettering my time and distances as well as the elevations involved. I also commuted by bicycle a mile above sea level. Oh, for those days again! Sometimes, I remind my children that I was their age, I was in better shape than they are, but I try to do it gently. They both work out, so they'll get there.
They have the disadvantages of misguided nutritional information and an overprotective culture. I fell into that trap, but finally dug my way out of it. They are learning to eat whole, unprocessed foods instead of just the cheap ones. I am proud of them.

Ten thousand words came out of brain, and now I need to fill in the blanks with references and citations. That's the hard part! Now, it will go much more slowly, but I've been keeping notes on diet and cancer for several months. I decided to eat something, post it here, and upload what I've written. I also watched a video by Dr. Westman. In it, he said something that had struck a cord with me over a decade ago: "All calories are not the same! Calories in, calories out is a flawed measure, because the body handles different foods differently." People swear by CICO, and then they attack anyone who disagrees with religious fervor. Many people on many subjects do this. It seems that every opinion that disagrees with one's own is a life and death situation! What happened to facts?
Thank-you, no, I'll stick with the research, and I've done the research. That may be why when the rubber hit the road for NaNoWriMo, I went with non-fiction. It's not technically a novel, but there will be a lot of words.

During NaNoWriMo, I have not time to cook or post! Coffee! Coffee! Coffee! ...and a gallon jug of water by my chair. Maybe if I moved the computer to the bathroom, things would be easier?
