I am 61 years old. I have been married for 39 years. We have been together for 43 years.

We gave four "children" Aubrey (36 1/2), Brian (34 1/2), Jason (32) and Christine (27 1/2).

We have five grandchildren. Jordan (boy - almost 8), Elijah (5 1/2), Stephanie (5) and Florence (3).

Aubrey and her husband; Christopher live in Fleming Island, Fl just outside Jacksonville. They do not have children but have two dogs; Samson and Jackson.

Brian lives with us. He is Aphasic.

Jason and his family; Katie, Jordan, Stephanie and Nathan live in Valparaiso, FL about 8 min away from us.

Christine and her family; Travis, Elijah and Florence live with us at the moment with their four dogs; Sugar, EN, Mocha and Cheeto.

My husband; Gersom (Joe) is retired AF. I am an AF veteran. I also served three (3) years in the ANG. I am an LPN (my license is inactive at the moment) and I have worked with the elderly for approximately 12 years.

I was born and raised in Brunswick, Maine. I still have a brother, sister, neice, nephew-in-law, nephew and great nephew living in Maine. My mother passed away in March 1986. My father passed away in Feb 2009. My youngest brother passed away in the fall of 2006.

I have two cats: Angel and Whiskers.

I work at Elder Services of Okaloosa County/Elder Home Care in Niceville, Fl.

I did not have a weight problem until after I had my first child (Aubrey). My highest weight was 239 pounds. I am now at 220 pounds. I would like to get down to 200 and then go from there. My ideal weight is 170 pounds.

Big Time Plateau
I think I may have to try something else....I have been using "fatsecret" for a couple months now quite faithfully, but..........lately I have not been entering all my calories and I know that I am going over my count Crying or Very sad

I think the big kicker was when I went for my doctor appt a week or so ago and I had not lost any weight at all. I had actually GAINED a pound!!!!

I have always had a hard time - plateau big time. SOOO - I am going to have to try something else.

The herballife challange sounds good but I am a person who has to "chew" something - I can't go long on just a 'liquid' diet.

Maybe adding more walking/treadmill will help. At least I did loose the initial 35 pounds.....

DOCTOR VISIT
I visited with my doctor yesterday for a follow up appt for my recent bloodwork.

I have not lost any weight in 5 weeks!!! In fact I have gained a pound!!! I am not very happy....

I have to remember that my body has been through a lot in the past 6 months or so since the gallbladder surgery that was complicated by pancreatitis.

My doctor explained yesterday that the pancratitis had made me very sick and that it had affected many things - one being my kidneys. My kidneys are fine, good blood flow etc but my blood pressure had to be more tightly monitored so that my albumin/creatinine levels will get more normalized.

SOOOOO, I am now taking another medication for blood pressure in the hopes that the levels will get better - next blood work appt on 8/29/12.

Hopefully by that time I will have lost more weight and will have brought my BP down.
