My issues with my weight began in 2002 after I married in March that year. At this time I weighed about 155 lbs. I was happy with my body but then the weight started to creep on. A year later I'd gained about 10 pounds and I was in a size 14. It's October 2006 and I had not shared my choice to join Weight Watchers so I left home one Saturday morning about 2 weeks after the skirt incident and headed straight for a meeting. I had no clue what I was in for. I joined weighing in at a depressing 206.8 lbs and purchased the kit. I went home and read all of the materials. After my first week I lost 1.4 lbs. I was happy but no over the hill with joy. I missed the 2nd weeks weigh in and that made the next two weeks on plan really hard. I felt like I gained weight and I had to struggle with staying on plan and had the feeling like I was gaining weight. I kept it up and at my weigh in for the third week revealed that I lost 4.8 lbs!!! I was immediately hooked and a believer. The meetings and the fact that I was weighing in really contributed to my success. I was determined to see some progress on the scale weekly so it really made me stay on plan and I made good choices. I loved the support and going every week seeing the same faces of support from those sharing in my struggles was empowering. I set my weight goal at 160lbs and I went on to lose a total of 54.4 lbs. I made lifetime May 18, 2007. I was down to my smallest of 152.4 lbs and in size 8 clothes!!! In July 2007 I found out I was pregnant again. Everything went well and I gave birth to my 8lb 5.6oz baby girl March 20, 2008 and believe it or not I gained all of my weight back weighing 206 lbs at delivery. I'm to this day over a year later still working to get back to that 152.4!
