I am a 29 yr. old mother of four beautiful children. When I got pregnant with my first child, I gained A LOT of weight and never lost it. In fact, with each pregnancy I gained a little more. I was never happy with myself but felt overwhelmed when I started thinking about losing it because with four children, it's hard to find time. I weighed myself one day and when I saw 205 on the scale, I knew I had to do something. So, I started counting calories and exercising and I lost 65 lbs. I have 10 more to go and that has proven to be the hardest. I never thought that I'd be in a size 8 and now I'm between an 8 and a 6. I am very happy and feel so accomplished. I have to thank God becuase He gave me the strength that I needed to accomplish my weight loss so far and I know that without Him I would never have had the strength to say "no" to my weaknesses. I love to eat and I especially love to bake. Thank goodness I'm not a sweets junkie. I prefer chips and dip to cake, ice cream, etc. I love to watch "The Biggest Loser". It's amazing to see the transformation of the contestants and know what they are going through. I am so glad that I found this website. I really believe it will help me to finally meet my goal.

Stuck in a HUGE Rut! Need some encouraging words
By the way, I started out at 205 and am now down to 139, so it is possible and well worth it.

Stuck in a HUGE Rut! Need some encouraging words
Been there. I just had to literally make myself and then once I started seeing and feeling the results, it wasn't so hard anymore. Plus, you feel so proud of yourself. You just have to not allow any excuse to get in your way. Good luck! If I can do it, anyone can. You just have to make it a priority, not an option.

Newbie here!
Hi everyone! I was excited to find this site a couple of days ago. I can tell it' going to be a big help while I'm trying to lose my last few pounds. Now I need some buddies to help keep me motivated encouraged and that I can do the same for. I'm a 29 yr. old from Oklahoma and I am currently using Weight Watchers. I started off at 205 and lost 65 lbs. by counting calories. However, I have found that the last 10 lbs. just doesn't want to budge...lol. So I am trying Weight Watchers. To be honest, I haven't been as faithful as I should have been, but I am now refocused. Not only do I want to lose the last few pounds but I want to keep it off. So, let me know if you'd like to be buddies. God bless everyone.

Carbs, protein, fat
I was just browsing some websites and found one that said that a woman's diet needs to consist of 50% carbs, 30% fats, and 20% proteins. I read this at about.com on the women's nutrition page. You can type in your weight and it will tell you how many grams of each you need. Hope this helps. God bless.
