Following my own diet that is a combo of low carb/low cal - incorporating foods I like and that work for me. There are some things that even if they fall into the acceptable range of carb/cal for the day will cause me to gain weight (pasta - which I love - is the prime culprit). Others that should cause weight gain seem to be ok for me (eg. a few slices of pizza). So it is really a trial and error to find what works and what doesn't and to try to get down to a point where I am not embarrassed walking into a room.
I work well against goals and so have set the following targets.
Goals:
No longer Morbidly Obese (reach 267 lbs): ACCOMPLISHED !!
No longer Obese (reach 172 lbs):
Lose 10 lbs:
Lose 5% body weight (lose 13.5 lbs):
Lose 20 lbs:
Lose 10% body weight (lose 27 lbs):
Lose 30 lbs:
Reach 228 lbs (surpassing previous best weight loss):
Lose 40 lbs:
Lose 50 lbs:
Lose 97 lbs (reach 172 lbs):
