I have a beautiful wife whom I love dearly, and we have a beautiful little girl. My wife's one of the few people who gets my sense of humor and is one of the rarer still who finds most of my jokes funny. She's living proof to me that there can be a perfect someone for everyone.

Health-wise I've been overweight my entire life. A few years ago I signed up for Zumba, just to try something new out (everything else got boring to me), and fell in love with it. I went from 300lbs to 270 in a semester. I then quickly began adding more and more workouts to my daily schedule and managed to get to 235lbs, but my body was feeling the strain of the four hour workouts a day I'd been putting it through. On top of that I was still eating really unhealthily, so when I had to take a break form working out I gained almost all the weight I fought so hard to lose back.

After I recovered, I went on Dr. Schulze's (Herbdoc.com) SuperSlim diet and dropped six pant sizes in a month. It really clicked to me then that eating, in my new-found opinion, was actually -more- important than working out. Don't get me wrong, both are INCREDIBLY important, but what fuel you use to power your vehicle controls a lot of how well it performs. So now that I have access to this site, a very good tool for weight loss, I'm trying to lose weight again so that I can be around to see my daughter grow up and have her own children. Plus, when I teach my workout classes I can be an example as well as a teacher.

Anyway, I could sit here and type a novel about myself, but the best way to know about me is to get to know me.

my CHALLENGE today, make me do it
I have to admit I'd never heard of that. It sounds like the sugar itself inside the bread is what causes it, so I'm not surprised to hear it.

Here's a link that helps explain it:

However, any food can be unhealthy and many can be very healthy, it just depends on how much of it you eat and with what. For instance, vitamins. Too many vitamins, the fat-soluble ones like K, can hurt your body if overused, but definitely help when portioned right.

Exercise music - what are you listening to?
Just about anything with a lot of energy in it. Cotton Eye Joe - Rednex, Technologic - Daft Punk, Otherworld - Nobuo Uematsu, and so on. If it's too slow I start to slow down, so I need something that gets my heart rate up Smile

How to combat boredom munching!
I have a super hard time not eating when bored, so I can understand. With me I go to read, talk to my wife, or even exercise. Find something to distract yourself, drink plenty of water (often will help you feel more full), or factor out calories from one meal so that you can have a snack later in the day.

Looking for an awesome buddy!
I'm an exercise instructor that did something similar (except with overeating instead, lol). I, unfortunately, am not the most gifted with time, but if you want someone who can help out here and there with e-mails and the like let me know Smile
