Start Weight

Lost so far: 57.5 lb

Current Weight
207.5 lb
Performance: losing 1.6 lb a week

Goal Weight
180.0 lb
Still to go: 27.5 lb
35 year old mother of two great kids. I've been overweight most of my adult life but the last ten years I've spent being what's considered obese. I finally feel like I have the right frame of mind to do it this time. I started back in October 2009 at 265 lbs. My first goal is to get to 180 lbs which would give me a BMI under 30 and therefore no longer considered obese. Once that goal is attained I will be setting myself a new goal to achieve a BMI under 25.

New/Revised Goal: Lose 30 lbs by June 5th. Bit of a stretch but it's possible. As of 4/14/10 down 7.5 only 22.5 more to go and seven weeks to go....

Goal Update: As of 4/29: Down 12.5 only 17.5 more to go and five weeks to go!

It's just a diet, not a religion
Bravo! I couldn't have said it better myself Wink

The key to permanent weight loss is to lose the "diet" mentality. You need to make a lifestyle change and stick to it - plain & simple. In this day and age of convenience it's difficult to do especially with the hectic lives we all live we just need to get back to basics Smile

The Reality
Intellectual property is just that - PROPERTY - it is an actual line item on a company's balance sheet! How would you feel if someone stole your idea and posted it all over the internet for free while you were trying to sell it to recoup your R&D expenses? Just because WW charges for their service does not make them an evil empire - either pay to use their product or use something else that's *LEGITIMATELY* free.

Stop counting!
The nice thing about journaling is the benchmark it provides for weighing in. It keeps me from becoming discouraged when I step on the scale and I get a weight in that's either to low or too high. My biggest problem is not over eating its under eating and journaling keeps me on task.
