I assume monthly bloat. Seems like a trend I am seeing amongst some ladies here...

My scale is called "Health o Meter". I've had it at least 8 or 9 years and just recently had to change the battery. I like it because it shows the exact same weight as my doctor's scale.

I use the CONNAIR THINNER scale that I bought 5 years ago at
Bed Bath Beyond and it has always been accurate and reliable. I only use the first reading. Is never more than 1 lb off.

I just ordered a Conair Thinner scale because it was $16 at Bed Bath & Beyond and that is all I can afford! Hopefully it's more reliable, and hopefully my true weight isn't far off from what I've been logging...

Is your scale sitting on a hard floor - e.g. tiles? Or is it on a semi-hard surface such as linoleum? For accuracy, you should use a very hard surface.

I wanted to get a Tanita scale but they're too pricy. I have another lower tech model arriving Saturday so I'm quite excited and anxious because I have been gaining weight!

@Rincewind42, unfortunately the hardest surface in my apartment is linoleum. Space is so limited I can't even leave it on the same spot to stay, I have to store it on a shelf and bring it down to weigh myself.
