Mousy1109's Journal, 14 March 2016

I started working on my weight as of September 14th of 2015, meaning that today is my six month weigh in. I started this journey (this time) at 303 pounds, and I have lost 73 pounds along the way, leaving me at 230 pounds as of this morning. I am nowhere near my goal, but I am also nowhere near my starting weight, either. I have tried to lose weight in the past, but my attempts have always been unsuccessful. I was then introduced to the LCHF WOE by other members on this site, and that seems to have been the turning point for me. I was able to easily educate myself and adjust to LCHF way of life, and it is definitely one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I am feeling very blessed about my weight loss and the opportunity to get myself healthy again!
230.0 lb Lost so far: 73.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Fantastic! It's weird, I started mine on Sept 17th 2014, I was at 305 lbs. I stayed focused for 6 months and then wandered off on my own, now I am back and pretty much starting over again, I didn't gain back but 12 lbs, but regaining the focus I had in the beginning is hard. Make the most of your momentum and keep it rolling. Bulldoze your way to your goal. YeeeeHaaaa!

Six months of being on the fat secret highway and you left 73 lbs of your old self in the parking lot. I consider that a huge breaking point and you are cruising on the fat secret highway now with the other commuters. Celebrate but not with food reward your weight loss with something that builds yourself esteem and positive outlook at this point. It a long highway and we celebrate every loss. Remember all good things take time.

Brilliant. And I was delighted with 70 lbs in 10 months. I have changed to a low Carb regime a fortnight ago so hopefully I will lose quicker and easier now.

Thanks for your amazing comments and support! FS really is a community, and I find that I am much more successful both when I see the support pouring in for me and also when I am pouring the support out to others. I am just blessed that there is so much communication and inspiration found here. In the past six months, I have learned that my weight loss is about a lot more than just the scale. Best of all, I find that I don't look at my WOE as a diet or something that I am dealing with in order to lose my weight. Instead, I look at it as the life style change that I had been needing for such a long time. Changing the way I ate really changed how I felt and how much energy I had. I needed that change more than I needed to drop pounds. And now I get so irritated when people call my WOE a diet. It is not a diet for me and I will never go back to how I was eating before! I just don't ever want to feel that way again! Thank you all so much for the support!
