jenjabba's Journal, 07 November 2023

One Pound At A Time : OPAT 🤣 This has been a weird week. I've lost 77 pounds this year. I don't measure or weigh my food anymore and just guess mostly. Not all gets logged into my food journal, but they are decent guesses. I think it's good mentality to know what a good-sized meal looks like. I'm using smaller plates and cups instead of bowls for soup. it's been working.

I've had exercise intolerance ( heart rate over 200) and chronic fatigue over the years. I was hoping after seeing all the success stories on carnivore/keto I would feel like a spring chicken again. Ha. not me. instead, the doc FINALLY diagnosed me with too many PVCs and inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. I've been going through tests all year. the Electrocardiologist said it's hard to diagnose. Sooooo, this sux. They put me on a new med that makes me even more tired. Sadly, it's nothing I can treat with diet. My diet can't get much cleaner. I feel a bit defeated. I got one of those cool ECG units to confirm my heart rate with my symptoms and WOW. The ECG gadgets are really cool. Just standing up, my HR CAN be 150. no wonder I'm tired. durrrr. Losing weight obviously takes extra pressure off my heart, so I'm going for the last 30 lbs give or take over the following months. For some happy 😊 Tigger and I walk every day!!! He's little cuttie. And my soup from today.

153.0 lb Lost so far: 77.0 lb.    Still to go: 38.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Nice losses to date 📆. I don’t always track either, but I pretty much stay within the same food groups. So good that you are getting some answers to health issues you were having. Stressful not knowing😓

What an awesome job! I'm hoping someday to fully graduate from tracking, but I'm not there yet. Tracking has taught me a lot about portion size, but when I skip it too long, those portions start to increase in size

Writingwyo. It sort of happened gradually over the last few months. Then I realized I'm on a roll! You'll get there and I will for sure need to measure when i get to maintenance. I won't know how much I can eat daily till then.

I'm so impressed with and inspired by what you've accomplished this year! It's unfortunate this heart problem has cropped up, but indeed you have lessened the load on your heart and that will stand you in good stead. Take care!
