Hello and Happy Tuesday FS!

Down a tad today! 💃 I wasn’t going to weigh until Friday but I just had to. Keeps me on the straight and narrow I guess.

Had a grand time with my granddaughter! 💞I can’t wait for the next sleepover! And, tomorrow is granddaughter day at her home! 💞

Also, getting ready for my brother and sister-in-law’s visit. So excited!! Although, we did get to see them in July on our trip. They come every year except last year due to Covid. Yes, Covid is still bad in FL but they are also vaccinated and will mask up during the flight. So, we will see. I really need to figure out the food thing. I don’t cook like I use to nor do I keep a lot of stuff around. Gatherings are usually food focused. I’m sure I will be fine just need to plan a menu for 9 days or so…perhaps. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have a fabulous, sunshiny day FS! 💃🌞

I like to weigh myself daily, but I usually only record it on FS on Sunday morning. The other days I record it on an offline spreadsheet. The Sunday weigh in is my "big picture" view of how the week went. It also helps keep me from overeating on Saturday, my highest temptation day, when hubby and other family want to have take out foods and snack foods lying around in the kitchen and on the table all day. The daily weight in is way to recommit myself to the work at hand in regards to food and activity choices. I am trying not to let the natural ups and downs get to me and to focus more on the overall trend. Best wishes with your menu planning and I hope you have a wonderful visit with your brother and SIL. I know it will be a challenge to plan menus for your

Thanks Brenda! Great idea on your spreadsheet! Yeah, the menu will be tough for me … I use to fly by the seat of my pants and pull together dinner complete with bread and butter. Thanks again!

I was just with my family for a week at the beach. We were in a cottage with a kitchen. We all sat down & planned our week....which days we planned to eat out & which days we wanted to cook. We came up with menus for several nights & made a list of what we needed to buy. Maybe that could work for you. We also took turns preparing the meals with several of us pitching in....one would make main course, one chop veggies for salad, etc.

Javadali, I am going to be mean, please don’t kiss your brother or his wife. They can be vaccinated and still carry the virus. Hold off just a bit more. I care about you a lot, I don’t want you to get sick!🙁 Buy some Cold-Eeze, and if you feel like your getting sick take them, the zinc really works. I worry for it is shocking how many parents have died from Covid, from hugs and kisses from their loving kids. Al watched the people in the hospital struggling to breathe. Please be careful when they get there, and buy some Spam for dinner to make life simple.😁 Blessings and remember this virus doesn’t float in the air, but it is transmitted person to person within a foot or two. Stay safe, we are older and more accessible to catching it and it being deadly. Sorry for the lecture.😕❤️

Thanks Shrew and you are not mean just cautious in this day and age. No, I won’t kiss my brother or SIL but I will hug them. I hugged them in July. I’m a hugger and that has what I missed most when I was in total isolation from my son and DIL before the baby was born. We are careful and will continue to be so. I am especially careful as I don’t want to do anything that would keep me from my granddaughter. Don’t mind the lecture. I live in a retirement community and, sadly, haven’t participated in many of the events because of the risks. I don’t live in fear, I’m just am cognizant of the risks. Thanks for your concern and support! I do know my brother would be in 7th heaven with Vienna sausages and strawberry pop tarts! Lol! 🤣🤣

Thanks Sherry! They will help with the kitchen duties and take over if I’m not careful! We always have fun and truly enjoy each other’s company. When I joined them in July at their beach house with their kids, that’s what was done too … everyone had a night. Since I was traveling, I brought what I could but pitched In with kitchen clean up for the two nights we ate there. It’s just great being together! I just want to continue eating healthy. I know how easy it is to go over the edge…just this one time, or I will be good tomorrow, or starting Monday I will be better. I don’t want to go back to that scenario! I will figure it out as I’m still motivated! Thanks for your support!
