Cindy Thompson's Journal, 24 January 2011

Good morning everyone! Weight up 7 pounds. I now weigh 201 pounds. Back on plan today.

What a great weekend we had with our son, daughter in law, and grandaughter. We really enjoyed our visit and I believe they did too. Our daughter in law even cried when we had to leave. How is that for an answer to prayer. I think we really bonded. As much as one can in just a weekend. Of course we gave and got lots of hugs and kisses. Our precious grandaughter got most of them. The art of conversation has not died in our family. We talked for two an a half days. We ate out and our daughter in law cooked too. She is a really good cook! When I weigh in tomorrow we will see how good. Thank you to all of you who were praying. Could someone please help me with posting pictures? My daughter has had to show me before and would like to learn how. We are back in St. Louis now. Little Olivia really missed me. I always get a big hug and kiss when I come back. I am very blessed. Hope everyone is having a great day. Love and hugs{{{}}}

Oh how wonderful Cindy, your weekend really was a prayer answered, so happy all went so wonderfully. I know you were sad to have to leave, as you say a weekend probably didn't seem long enough, but then again sounds like you will have many more weekends in the future to spoil your little grand-daughter. Sure you were just as glad to get home to your little Olivia. Hope someone can help you out on posting the pics, I know I would love to see them, however, not much help as I am technologically challenged...:) Have a wonderful day.

I am so happy for you Cindy. That must have been wonderful for you. So glad she treated you folks good. They aren't far from me, and if she had been mean to you, I would have taken a trip down and poked her in the nose.lol Most of the weight is water, you know that so I don't need to tell you these things.lol Have a great day:)

Cindy, we told you the daughter in law would love you! I'm so happy you had such a great time with your family and got lots of cuddles in with your granddaughter! Times to treasure!

Thanks Raven, Laurie, and Leanne! I did read somewhere that flying does cause you to gain water weight, so, I'll be on the downward slope again soon I hope. Ya'll are such great friends! Got to wake up the troops here. Talk to ya'll soon. Love and Hugs{{{}}}

I am sure that that 7 lb weight gain will not stick. You can't have gained 7 lb of fat in on week-end. So lets see how you get on over the next few days. So glad things went well with the DIL and you so enjoyed your granddaughter. Hope you have a good day today, it will be a bit of a let down after all the excitement.

Thanks Issy! Yes, I'm a little sad today but counting my blessing too. I'm thankful that I did get to see all of them and finally get to meet my grand daughter Simone. I really am blessed to be a part of our grand daughter Olivia's life. She keeps me busy but makes my life so full of joy. Will post pictures after I figure out how. Does anyone know how to walk me through the process step by step? Sure would appreciate it. Hugs{{{}}}

Hey Cindy, glad you're home safe and sound. And yes, flying does for sure cause retention...so keep up w/ your water daily, and check again in 48 hrs...and it should come down some. New beginnings, and new relationships... so glad you got to connect w/ your DIL, and - see that beautiful new baby! I think Stef is the most experienced w/ photobucket and how to do that... I could certainly try to help you... but w/out it open in front of me, I might confuse you more :) But if you want, I can try! Love.

Would love any help I can get. If it is to confusing I'll just have to wait until my daughter comes home this evening. She is usually so busy that she might not get to posting the photos until later this week. I really need to learn how to do it myself. When my daughter did it last time, she did it so fast that I couldn't write every step down. Got to go for right now. I'll talk later. Hugs{{{}}}

Ok, well, do you know how to plug your camera into the computer, then store the pictures into your 'pictures' files ??? Are they on your computer already .. or do you need to do this first step?

Did load the pictures onto my computer. What do I do next?

Hey Cindy, glad to hear you had a good weekend! I am sure your weight will stry to come down soon as it is more than likely just some water retention. As for the pictures, I am no good at helping over the interent because my describing skills are poop but if you have your daughter help you when she starts just be like " ok wait slow down so I can take notes" I have to do that with my mom who is a tech and it works pretty good! Goodluck!

Thanks Pixi! I'll try to get her to slow down. Just hope she has time so that everyone will be able to see the pictures soon. Hugs!

Maybe she could even just write the steps out for you and then show you, sometimes that helps too!

after on there, look near the top for a green oval that says "upload now" ... click on that. It will open a new area for you to click on upload pictures (or browse) and you will have to find the folder on your computer that has your stored pictures. Once you find them, hold down the Ctrl tab, and click on the individual pics you want to upload. Keep holding the ctrl tab so you can do them all at once, until you finish clicking the amount of pics you want to upload. Then click the upload button or hit enter... this should tell you it is uploading your 8 pictures...or however many you selected. Let me know if you get this far...

My daughter posted my H.S. reunion picture for me and I haven't been able to post one. I have downloaded photo bucket and done what I thought should be done but I am techologically challenged big time even though I can post a mean You tube lol. I will take JS's advise and read the directions lol. Your visit sounded wonderful and mark my words those 7 pounds will come off quickly if you stick to a reasonable plan this week..TOWANDA!!!!

Cindy (& Lisa) Once you get your pictures on photobucket...it's easy from there. Just put your mouse over the pic ... don't click ... just position your mouse over it, and a window will pop up around the picture w/ some choices below it. Move the mouse down to the bottom choice ... IMG Code and then click in that box... (it should say 'copied' when you do). Then come here...open a journal - RIGHT click your mouse and select paste. Now it will look like gobblygoook to you at this point...great. Type whatever you want to go w/ your pic's...then submit the journal and save. When you reopen the photos will be there!

Thank you so much Paula for all the help! And thanks Lisa for stopping by with your encouraging words. Going to try to upload the prints now. Ya'll will know if I'm successful or not in a few minutes. Keep your fingers crossed.

Cindy, i am absolutely thrilled you had a good visit with your son and his family. And it sounds like this just might be the beginning of a continued relationship with her. I am so happy for you.
