So after having slightly higher weigh ins for several days in a row I had an "aha moment". Not an "Oh, my God...I'm getting Fat!" moment. More of an "Am I making healthy choices?" moment. One choice I've made is to not walk every afternoon. It started with not feeling well but has continued & that ends today. The sun is shining & its a bit warmer so no excuses. The other choices have been diet. I haven't gone off the rails but I have been eating over my 1800 calorie guidline more days than not. Last night I made the choice to eat all veggies with my Italian sausage but I ate 2 sausages. Then I had some chocolates & a bowl of Boom Chika Pop popcorn. Maybe I should have chosen 1 or the other.

Like I said....not off the rails but I think I need to focus on healthy choices.

I've been feeling kinda blah. Not unusual for me in Jan. / Feb. It's the coldest and gloomiest time of year where we live. With covid looming we also aren't spending time with our friends like we might otherwise. It's easy to turn to an extra indulgent snack or just kicking back and being lazy to make myself feel better. I don't plan to give up a few treats completely but I do need to be aware that too many may send me down the wrong path.

I sat down to watch an episode of one of my favorite shows only to discover they took a break this week 😒 So, guess I'll read for a bit.

I have some ground beef I need to use so I'm thinking some mini meatloafs for dinner.
144.2 lb Lost so far: 28.6 lb.    Still to go: 9.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Sherry! That is a great thing to review every so often and make changes. Def can't beat yourself up, and just make some slow modifications. You'll do great!!! You have the right approach!

Bear & Mermee, I felt the best today I have in a couple of weeks. I know I shouldn't wallow in sad thoughts and ignore the positive. I got out for a walk and even though dinner was a meal of "comfort food" ....meatloaf, rice & collard greens....I only went over my calories by about 35.

That's great Sherry!!! I feel ya! When I start feeling down I find doing something helps! Sometimes thats all you need is to focus on something else or do something productive. Even when it's cold out there is something uplifting about being outside, breathing fresh air! Wont be long and spring will be here.
