Lil sister found recumbent bike for $190 at used sports equipment store, so now it's just a matter of either picking it up or getting it delivered. It should provide me with a safer source of exercise since there will be less chance of my falling.

Emotions running high around here this time of year! Apparently I've turned into my Mother/Older Sister (both died the beginning of January 1/3/06 & 1/1/10 respectively) by asking for things to be done for me the moment lil sis walks in the door. When I wasn't asking for her & bil for any help earlier this spring/summer, she was mad that I wasn't. Now that I'm asking, she's mad because it's every time she comes over. Done with it!

Mom & Mary both knew they had to ask her to do things as soon as she arrived, because she always has her own agenda of things to accomplish, along with a time line for how long she's going to be present. I knew this, but fell into their pattern anyway. DUMAS!

Nope, unless it's critical, I'm not going to play this game. I've been self sufficient all these years, I will figure it out. I had to rely on them & others for assistance while I was going thru chemo, but I was so proud of how little I asked for. Transportation and companionship primarily for my sessions. I can't believe how much more needy I have now become 2 1/2 years later. Big girl panties need to be worn. I will figure this out and be okay.

Season's Greetings y'all. Stay safe and well out there.

Jeannie ❤️ hugs to you. Extreme independence is a trauma response. I’m sorry that your family was there but not in the way you truly needed it. I’ve come to believe forgiveness is about finally letting go of hope for a better past. Again, this is just my understanding & beliefs. You may need to ask others for help but you absolutely have the right to insist on boundaries and enforce them.

Sorry things are tense in your family right now. Hang in there, and do whatever you need to do to make things less stressful.

Hang in there, Jeannie! I'm praying for peace, comfort, and safety for all of us and our loved ones for Christmas and 2021. if it helps, know that you're definitely not the only one trying to manage chronic pain & stress but Christmas is coming anyway and I'm grateful I'll be going to mass and spending time with my family no matter how much they annoy me or trash my house😇. Ho ho ho🎅🎄💛

Just like they say family, you can’t live with them and you can’t live without them. Be patient, definitely keep relying on yourself, and especially don’t be afraid to ask for help no matter what she says or does, that’s what families for. I like the idea of the used bike to use.I hope you feel better soon, and may you have a wonderful holiday as well
