Sitting outside on the deck...it's a beautiful, Fall day! A tiny bit cool to just sit, but I put on a fleece vest & my fleece lined slippers 😀 I saw a hummingbird at the feeder above my head...oh, he's back again! I thought they might be gone for the season since I haven't seen them at the kitchen window. A deer just ran thru behind the house, too. I am home 😊 The Blue Jays finally showed themselves thisorning. The'd been stealing the peanuts surreptitiously.

Ran into town ealier....I couldn't convince them at the library to forgive my fines cause I was out of town, since the book had a hold on it. So, I paid my fines & picked up this month's Book Club choice on hold. I looked at the mums @ Walmart, but didn't buy any yet. I've been feeling a little tired....I think the adrenaline has waned & I'm not on the go so much like I was for the past couple weeks. That's OK. I'm planning on doing Fall decor as soon as the motivation kicks in. It will stay up til the beginning of Dec. so a a few days won't matter. I've been cleaning house in preparation & did change out the hand soap in the guest bath & the candle I burn in the kitchen to Fall scents 🙄🎃🍁

A little monthly analysis for September...I'm up right at a pound from the beginning of Sept. but still under goal. I'd say that's pretty good considering 2 weeks of the month I ate out once to twice a day, had more adult beverages and ate pretty much what I wanted. I did try to eat reasonable portions & show some restraint when feasable. But, I ate desserts...and carbs....It makes me feel positive that if I just continue to be aware of what food choices I make and keep things balanced maintaining my goal weight will not be too difficult.

Our walks have been shortened the past couple of days. Hubby has been cutting grass. Our property is very hilly & the task is a bit tiring for him. So, we've walked up to feed Fricassee, our Neighborhood Chicken 😀🐓 and up our road a bit, but not as far as usual.

I'm planning to use the Tomato Basil soup from Costco to create dinner tonight....thinking I'll add some ground beef and black beans. Salad on the side. Perfect Fall weather cuisine.

I'd love a panoramic picture of your property... Well maybe it would have to be video too! I feed the steller's jays peanuts every morning while I have my coffee. They are so crazy. Do yours pick and then drop peanuts until they find the one they really like? Our type of jays aslo store one in their throat and grab a Second before flying away to hide them for later in the day. 😁 I'm glad you are still enjoying your humming birds. We have one kind that stay all year. Our Anna humming birds stay even when we get snow. I bring the feeder in when it is freezing over night and they are back in the mornings. Sometimes I have to thaw the sugar water during the day too so they can have access. I can't imagine how they can endure the cold like that.
