MsJay_Get_Fit's Journal, 06 August 2020

I haven’t walked in 2 days. My Metformin was increased by 500mg and it’s making me feel so sick and weak, plus it’s that time of the month. I’m not on target with my water intake and my food choices could be better. Hoping to get on track next week.

As Keyten77 said, you have a shot at controlling the BS issue when you master healthier food choices and portion control. The alternative is Metformin and insulin for the rest of your life. Do this now before the damage to your body becomes irreversible. You can do this. Follow Keyten77. Huge success story ,and she did it the right way and without being deprived all the time.

My hubby said you might be taking too much. He takes this medication also. Please talk with your dr to maybe lower it. Wishing you all the best. ❤️💚💛😢

How far apart are you taking it? Can you take it before bed so you sleep through some of your body’s processing? Interactions with any other meds possible!

Thank you all for the well wishes and advice. I’m going to do bloodwork tomorrow- hopefully if I can get out of bed on time (it’s a struggle these days). In my bio I mention that I’m prediabetic and obese. I also have PCOS and there’s a relationship between it and insulin resistance. The primary reason for taking Merformin is to address the PCOS. The prescribed dose is 2000 mg a daily. I went from not taking it at all to 1000 mg for about 2 months and now I’m at 1500 mg which is causing these terrible side effects. Hopefully my body will adjust soon! I weighed other options like taking birth control and felt that the Metformin would be the best option for all of my issues. I’ll speak to my endocrinologist once my results come in a decide next steps. 💜💖💛
