Very nice, not enough credit is given to the maintainers, it's just as hard if not harder.

Oh my goodness yes, it's so hard.

Really? I find maintaining easy. I mean I go up and down but stay in my 5# range easily on a day to day basis. I’m eating how I was before just smaller portions than when I gained and a bit more junk compared to losing. I basically cut portions then added in a candy bar to maintain. Now logging different maintenance foods does get hard for me so I’m stuck with easy to log foods still and that sucks occasionally. Why is it hard to maintain? Is it going back to a previous WoE? Logging? Finding a balance and trying to stay the exact same weight rather than a 5# range? I’m truly curious.

Just trying to find a balance between what I eat and working out I don't want to lose too much but don't want to gain a bunch of weight back because I already did that once. I went from 280 lbs to 141 lbs and back up to 204 lbs thinking I was fine eat whatever I wanted because I was working out. So I cleaned up the eating and now I'm at 135.

Find your maintenance calories and stick to them easy, nothing hard about maintaining body weight

For some it comes easy, some of us have to work on it.

not really once you know what ur maintenance calories are it’s pretty straight forward from then, like for myself mines are between 2500 and 2600 anything less I’ll lose weight and gain if higher, but it’s all about finding the correct figure out first

If it was that easy, no one would gain weight to begin with! Well done Letty, you're an inspiration!

For me what is easy is eating without thinking. Mindless eating Is in my nature, that is easy.

For those saying maintenance is easy, you do realize it's for the rest of your life. It's so easy to slowly eat a little more, wait a little longer between small weight gains before getting back on track, eating more calories than you think....There wouldn't be so many Yo Yo dieters if maintenance was easy.

It's like when people ask me how to lose weight. My answer is eat healthy, exercise, drink water, and get enough sleep. Four things...it's easy, but at the same time it's hard as hell. It's not easy. And I'm glad. It should be hard, so that way I can appreciate what I've done.

Peeper, don't get me wrong I still find a process "easy" because I love it. For anyone that's not as disciplined and doesn't love the process as much it's far from easy. I think it's harder than losing it to begin with because you don't see the relatively quick results and that makes it a little more difficult to stay as motivated, I get complacent. Especially this time of year I could just cover up with a hoodie, gain some weight, and nobody would really notice except for DP and myself. And honestly for me it's not really maintenance as I continue to try to get leaner and leaner and at this stage, getting leaner is way harder than it was before. It's like when I started I had to pickaxe and I was hitting soft dirt, now I have a pickaxe but I'm striking stone(stealth brag). I'm really disciplined at this point and the process is fun so I'm still finding it easy in that regard. I love it but I could see myself just sitting around again with some video games and sliding back in my 220 pound comfort zone lol, it used to happen every year around this time. I have to say once I realized I could have my cake and eat it too, literally, it has been a lot easier than in the past. Maybe the daily candy bars are why you find it easy as well. 😁

Maintenance, been there and still doing that... The biggest challenge in maintenance is to not slack off. The way to do that is to seek to continuously to improve. Letty Boo, you got that and you are the bomb!!!

@Diablo gotcha 😉. Perhaps I’m just disciplined. Probably the candy bars as you said lol. It gives me a treat so I don’t feel like I’m dieting. I don’t ever want to slack off because if I do, and stop counting, I’ll gain again I think. But I enjoy counting and logging.
