Day 1 of a planned 2 days of eating

I mentally had to have a hamburger. It was just a mental obsession that started earlier this week. I settled on a Carl’s Jr. Fish sandwich instead (because it is on a ‘hamburger bun’). However, instead of one, I had two 🥺.

💣 Totally blew my macros...

I still lost a pound. Good, right?

I think what really happened was that I would have had a 2 pound loss, because I usually get one day of a 2 pound loss when I ‘no solid food’ fast during the week.

Either way, today I now mentally feel ready to ‘no solid food fast’ all day and only eat dinner tonight 😁.

I also plan to hit the 🏋🏾‍♂️ gym and 🏃🏾‍♂️ run 7 miles.

I think that I can keep from gaining weight tomorrow if I keep the carbs below 20g and the protein below 50g. However, if I have two high carb days in a row I *always* gain weight… and it -stays awhile-

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Wow I didn’t realize you were keeping your protein that low! You still have the same energy at the gym with low/moderate protein? I try to get 70g. I don’t think my body needs more than that 🤷‍♀️

When I 'water fast' I am dropping protein to zero :) Dr. Fung basically says that my body will use 'protein catabolism'. "...proteins that turn over the most rapidly are the first proteins to be catabolized for glucose. This includes the skin and intestinal lining. In over five years at my Intensive Dietary Management program (www.IDMprogram.com), which uses therapeutic fasting for weight loss, he has not yet referred a patient for skin removal surgery despite patients losing over a hundred pounds." https://www.dietdoctor.com/does-fasting-burn-muscle - - Basically, unless I am a 'body builder' (and I am not), I do not need a lot of 'dietary protein'. It turns-to-glucose. Excess protein, for me, is just as bad as carbs. When I reduced my protein I finally started losing 'net pounds' after months of 'just being even'.
