Day 2 of a planned 5 day fast

I didn't lose any weight on the scale but I have lost some serious inches. In the mirror I feel I look a bit 'gaunt'. I told @PrincessValerie that I plan to stop losing weight in three pounds and she said 'I think you should stop now." I can agree with the sentiment, but I want to hit my BMI weight (164lbs) just one-time-in-my-life.

I stuck to my diet 100% yesterday with the help of my new 'Protein Drank':

* 1/8 scoop Quest Vanilla Protein powder
* Splenda
* Club Soda (cold)

(10 calories - 0 carbs)

Rather than just having water and green tea all day, I have something that 'feels solid' in my stomach. Also, because I put Splenda in it, I also get the 'sugar hit' that the flavored coffee drinks used to give me (without the 11 carb hit).

Also, I take multiple large doses of "Hi-Lyte Electrolyte Concentrate". I am not experiencing the 'shakiness' or 'dizziness' that others who are fasting are experiencing. In the past I tried just adding salt to my water and drinking Fiji electrolyte water. However, the symptoms did not go away until I took the Electrolyte Concentrate in large doses.

I say go for it! You can always gain a few pounds back! We all know how to do that lol :P

@CrashtestDawnie - Ok I plan to post a photo when I hit my goal and you can tell me if I look 'sickly'. However, I did not lose anything yesterday and I could be doing the 'plateau thing' and last time that lasted a month...

I've stopped with the protein powder for now as I noticed I was retaining water when I used it. I think I'm sensitive to the Whey as it's derived from dairy.

@00Marx00 - Your argument is totally valid. I did not lose any weight yesterday, and I may not tomorrow, so I 'could' be experiencing the same thing. However, since I only have 3 more pounds to go I am planning to just ride this out. (However if I gain weight then the protein powder is done!) :)

Well I hope you don’t plateau but this close to your BMI I guess it could be expected. Got my fingers crossed though!!!
