Morning Glucometer reading: 178

Love the glucometer. When it is low the pounds seem to drop the next day. Doesn't matter what I consume and what I *think* what I eat should mean, the glucometer tells me what is 'actually happening' (and what is going to happen the next day).

Today starts my 4th day of liquid fasting. I was planning on breaking my fast today but since I woke up today at the same weight I was last week, (I had a really bad 4 day carb eating frenzy that started last Saturday) I decided to go until Saturday night.

I realize the only thing that was fun about eating was thinking about what I was going to eat when I broke the fast. I wasn't hungry, my mind just like to obsess about things. The actual eating was a chore and I felt 'weighted' and 'bloated'. I also felt true hunger. Worse, I felt 'emotional'. When fasting my emotions don't go up and down so much.

The fast will start again on Monday and go until Friday. I hope to lose more weight then.
188.0 lb Lost so far: 19.0 lb.    Still to go: 24.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I completely relate about obsessing about the meal to break the fast despite not hungry. You have many years of programming to eat based on scheduled times, occasions and many other factors to attribute to the obsessing. Fast on bro, Fast on!

May i ask what you are drinking for your liquid fast please? Is a fasting glucose of 178 typical for you? Or had you already drunk something ?

@cjodyssey - I drank a "Muscle Mild" and then a Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha. 178 is typical when I am fasting. 120-100 is normal after I eat.
