CarmenR4322's Journal, 26 April 2018

I’ve hit a plateau 👎 weight has been fluctuating between 298 and 299 for a week now. I haven’t been counting all my calories like I should either and sneaking bites here and there while I’m making food 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve also noticed my body is getting used to my exercise routine, it’s taking more work to get in my fitness points and with the much warmer weather, after 3 hours I am completely drained.

I’ve joined a co-ed softball league, practices start on Sunday so I will have a new fun activity to add into my already busy week.

Hi Carmen I seem to have hit a plateau also, thinking same about my walking need to do more but my knees are giving me trouble. Keep up the good work maybe we will have a good drop next week.

Thanks Skinny! I agree about the walking, I need to do more of it also.

"getting used to" means your heart and muscles are stronger so they don't have to work as hard as they used to - it's a good thing! Good luck - I don't know about fitness points.

muscle memory will make the same exercises easier over time make some small adjustments to the exercise/ posistion/ schedule and it can make a big difference. i dont know what your routine is but even something as small as switching from normal sit ups to cross leg sit ups or straight leg sit ups can mix it up enough to kill the muscle memory and start making your workout pack more of a punch again (advice from my trainer last year). Its good its getting easier, variety and small adjustments just dials it back up again

it is good to mix it up with workouts. It is good that you have goals and are working toward them. I wish you all the best on your adventure.

Plateaus can be sooo frustrating. The trick is to work through them with the same discipline and TONS of patience... switching things up just might do the trick. Good luck!

I will try switching it up and adding more into it, all great advice! This last week has been a time killer, baseball 4 days a week, volunteer work in the mornings from the time I drop off my older 2 kids at school until they get out, Girl Scouts, took grandpa fishing last weekend, food prep day with my mom on Sunday... we’ve been eating so late too due to practice times going until 7pm... either way I will somehow push through all this, time is just not my friend lately.
