Day 2 of starting over.... yesterday I caved and gave in to my cravings but not the cravings for Dr. Pepper. I was still able to drop 3lbs yesterday. I know it’s just water weight but seeing that I didn’t completely blow it yesterday gave me the motivation I needed for today!!!!
A little back story.
About 2 years ago I started the diet journey and in 6 months I lost 65lbs. I maintained the loss for about 6 months and then I just stopped eating right, stopped working out and started drinking a ton of Coke’s. Fast forward to last Sunday I stepped on the scale and I see the number that I worked so hard to get away from!!!! After a few hours of really beating myself up about it I decided there was only one way to change it and now here I am trying again.
226.2 lb Lost so far: 3.8 lb.    Still to go: 76.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 20 March 2018:
172 kcal Fat: 1.41g | Prot: 4.96g | Carb: 39.81g.   Breakfast: Cantaloupe (Muskmelon). Dinner: Swanson 100% Natural Chicken Broth, Cooked Green Cabbage (Fat Not Added in Cooking). more...
losing 19.6 lb a week

My weakness was Dr. Pepper when I started my weight loss journey. Little embarrassing story here: I had just started Keto, maybe a week in and I was in the parking lot of Kum & Go with my husband and he had just run in and got me a water, himself a coke and my sister in law a Dr. Pepper. I could smell the DP and I literally started crying. The cravings hit me so hard, I cried. I wanted it so bad. I never wanted anything more in my life than that DP at that moment. I sobbed. I got over it, I got through it, and here I am today. I dont even want one anymore. Cravings completely gone. I would drink 72oz of DP a day, and it was killing me. You will get through it, and you will be stronger on the other side!! Youve got this!! We are all here for you!

I completely understand that need for a Dr. Pepper!!! I drink a lot of soft drinks period. We were buying 2 24pks of Dr. Pepper and 2 24pks of Pepsi a week and although I wasn’t drinking them alone I was drinking the most. I know that last time I done this the first week was difficult as far as food cravings but the soft drinks were much harder to overcome. I’ve done it once and I’ll do it again. Just have to make better choices. Thank you so much for the support!

Klynn that story is awesome! I’m so proud of you for not giving in!🙂 Have you tried unsweetened flavored sparkling water? I used to think it was disgusting but since not having sugar for the last couple of months, I like them! They fill that fizz craving.

I get the sparkling ICE zero calorie ones from Costco - they are a zero in all the categories. they really help me when I get that urge for a fizzy something.

I’ve been drinking smart water and if I just have to have some flavor I’ll use one of the zero/low calorie flavor packs. I found a root beer flavor and it’s ok. I like the propel flavor packs and they are zero calories. Since I’m counting calories to lose I hate to drink my calories.

OMG, I love the sparkling water, I really hate to drink plan water, this makes me think it's soda
