Fishingwidow's Journal, 11 March 2018

I am down a little today. A slow week for me even though I stayed under my calories. But my carbs were a little high and that seems to be the key for me.
203.5 lb Lost so far: 2.5 lb.    Still to go: 43.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 11 March 2018:
1271 kcal Fat: 70.05g | Prot: 61.34g | Carb: 104.24g.   Breakfast: Breakfast Bar. Lunch: Fried Egg, Smithfield Thick Cut Bacon, Potatoes (Flesh Without Skin, Without Salt, Boiled), Green String Beans, Hillshire Farm Polska Kielbasa (2 oz). Dinner: Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, Lettuce Salad with Assorted Vegetables, Idaho Spuds Potatoes, Cooked Brussels Sprouts (Fat Added in Cooking), Chicken Leg (Skin Not Eaten). Snacks/Other: Great Value Mixed Nuts. more...

And yesterday, I had some McDonald's frues. They were calling me. And I haven't had any fries for months. I was going to have a Sunday treat, a paczki, a Polish jelly donut, today but gave it up since I had the fries yesterday. Read somewhere, if you always do what you always did, you always get what you always have. Or something like that. Anyway I want to make good/better choices that I can i live with.

Im brand new to this. I want to lose 20 lbs by the end of June. Any advice or encouragement would be appreciated. Im still learning how to use this app

You're dropping and that's a good thing! Slow and steady is best anyway. I have also definitely found that the carbs are key for me. I keep below 20 total carbs a day and about once every week I have a day where I'm over by 4-5 carbs because I have some small "treat". Something that I like that I splurge on and get some extra carbs. I love popcorn, so that's a splurge for me, haha! Yesterday I had a small piece of they barb bread I made my girls. And actually the longer I eat this way, LCHF, the less cravings I have anyway! You'll get where you want. Keep going!

The fact that you can identify where your weakness lies is half the battle! Don’t get discouraged. We all have days where we just flat out fail but we dust ourselves off and get right back on it.

Carbs are the scourge of the earth... or at least in the world of Keto. I blew it yesterday as well, but today will be a perfect macro day!

Remember, age is just a number. We are the only ones to be accountable for our own actions. Our Journeys as we add more days to them(old age lol) become difficult. Looks like you have a fun young active life. Great job.
