Wow! I didn't know this either. My Mom is really low on iron and can't take iron pills because of her stomach issues. I'm getting some chai for both of us. Thanks!!😄

Fish has to eat greens from the sea floor to have omega 3 in them, fish nor humans can produce omega with out eating greens, different want we have been told.

2 TBSP of chia seeds also has 8 g fiber, 6 g protein, and 0 g of sugar. One caveat, these tiny little gems can cause intense abdominal cramping, gas, and constipation due to the high fiber content. My advice is threefold: start slowly with small amounts, spread its use over the course of the day, and drink plenty of water. Probably obvious advice, but we are human nd sometimes reminders are a good thing.

I love chia seeds. I make a salad every day with chia seeds, flax seed and hemp hearts in it. Powerful good things in all 3!

I always soak my chia seeds in water or milk/cream (nut milks work well for vegans) for at least 1/2 hour before eating and have never had any of the issues sugartits69 mentions and my gut is sensitive. Soaking them makes them into a pudding-like texture. I plan today to make 1/2 T ground flaxseed and 1/2 T chia and 1 t cinnamon soaked in cream and water (I do keto) for a "dessert." As far as to how much liquid to add to chia, I just keep adding until it's the texture I want. I estimate that's around 3x whatever the measure of chia you're using.
