Katsolo's Journal, 25 February 2018

Friday night what was supposed to be a light happy hour ended up as a sit down dinner at someone's house. I ate small potions, but still carb city. I didn't want to be rude when I know the host worked really hard. We talked yesterday and I let her know I'm doing low carb, so I think she'll give me options next time. I just used commercial versions for my journal. Better to log over than under. No booze, no wine even though everyone else was drinking. My piece of lasagne was 2 x 2". The key lime pie (from their tree no less) was amazing. I didn't eat my late night snack to trim a few calories from the day. My keto strip was pink again this morning, so back on plan.

Saturday, my neighbor friend and I toured an open house that has a view into my back yard. Spent the rest of the day working in the yard to the tune of 780 calories according to the watch. This morning, still holding at 165.5, but that's okay, it will drop again and it didn't go up. I need to work in the house again today, but I think I'll finish the yard first.

I finally got promoted at work, took 5 years to get back to where I was in 2007, and I'm finally holding my rightful title on the same day as my twentieth anniversary there. Not going to complain, I knew working from home had a downside as far as exposure, but it still beats 2-3 hours a day in traffic.

There was one more thing I wanted to add before I forgot. When I started this journey, there was so much fat in my abdominal region that bending over the wrong way would sometimes cause me to get spasms/cramps in my upper left quadrant as my fat gut would literally pinch my intestines Horrible feeling and scary as hell. I was doing a lot of bending and lifting yesterday and it didn't happen one single time. That is progress and motivation to never ever go there again.
